ALDI — Local services in Waukee

I started going to the Aldi in Waukee for all my grocery needs when it opened in November 2019. That was the first time I ever stepped foot in an Aldi. I am very satisfied with the quality of the food items and the reduced food cost on my monthly budget. I am a single person household and I am saving approx. $75 to $100 a month over what I was paying at Hy Vee. Imagine if you had a larger household how much $$ you would save! The store is clean and they have an adequate selection of food items. My grocery shopping time is reduced as well since the store is not as large as hy-vee...so I can get in and out much more quickly...

The only thing that would make the experience better would be having the ability to buy 2 - 3 potatoes / onions / oranges etc instead of an entire bag. That aside I will likely be a long-time shopper at Aldi going forward...Not sure why everyone doesn't shop here...you will save so...

Just moved to Waukee and every time I shop at this location the staff aren’t friendly and at times are very rude. I bought two urn planters on a whim with my groceries. The man scanned my paper shopping bags laid the urns on top of them and proceeded to throw my groceries on top. I asked him to stop because I was worried he was going to ruin my produce. I asked if I could use a second cart which he later told me was against the rules but let me use a second cart. He was not polite or friendly or even pleasant. This is one of many incidents where the staff has been rude to me. While I appreciate the second cart his attitude as well as all the other frowning staff at this location was unnecessary and I didn’t appreciate digging out my paper bags. I usually do online orders between college and work I have absolutely no time. This would be a five star review but I do get a little frustrated when they are out of items, it seems to be a reoccurring problem. I wish the website had a way of tracking inventory and letting me know before I put my order in, so I could order from somewhere else. Other than that I have no complaints. I also want to give Evelyn some praise as she is the first shopper to respond to me and ask my preference of replacements. I know to her it might be tedious but just goes to show she cares about the customers! 10/10 on...
