So tired of being an in person customer and seeing mobile orders get preference. Occasionally I go in to order instead of drive through- but I if I’m standing at the counter inside I’ll watch them make 10 mobile orders while I wait 20 min- my customer experience and service is reduced greatly ever since the “cut in front of everyone, you don’t need to wait your turn now!!”trend has arrived. The stores need two dedicated sides that aren’t connected IMO, today I watched customers walking out with two and three of those holiday cups from Mobile orders and had waited 35 min in drive through to be told only mobile orders were getting cups- I tipped hugely as I felt bad for the rough day this shift was going to have- big smile and thanks-but I’m not worth a cup. All because I don’t like the disconnect and entitlement of cut in line ordering. And while I’m here I also despise that the employees do not receive the tips earned for each shift. The money gets held back and distributed to all employees once per week- I did not tip the entire staff for a reason and a person that works at night during a slow shift did not earn the tips that the heavily busy morning and weekend shifts deserve -and did all the work to earn, it’s not a case of if you show up you and should just make the same as the person that did all the work. Tipping is to reward that particular person/shift, or experience. This is socialist behavior and I tell everyone I meet about it, no one thinks it’s a fair practice so stop it Starbucks- some workers won’t try as hard service wise if they know they earn same amounts of tips as everyone else. One more random general thought that I discuss frequently with friends and clients I know that also love coffee is this, I HATE feeling obligated to answer”any fun plans today?” this week I answered “nothing”- all the while clearly trying to look at my phone so she would read the room-“ hi how are you?”is enough for me- I then got” ohhhh- well any fun things planned for the rest of your week? Why is this line of questioning a to perfect stranger appropriate? I’m not telling you about my life and you don’t care, comment it’s a beautiful/cold/hot/windy day and my car is pretty, take my money and say my coffee will be right out. I feel obligated to answer and it just pisses me off ,it’s so ridiculous, get a better script please. Pay attention to body language- angled faces away from you or looking down- aren’t wanting to get chatty. One time a guy wouldn’t stop, even hanging out the window, ughhh!! He was asking where I work etc, he couldn’t pick up on my irritation and discomfort- someone asks him something and he said into his mike “I’m connecting with a customer right now.” And kept bothering me!! Stoppppppp it. A greeting is...
Read moreI walk into a perfectly dim lit room, it makes me feel cozy. The sounds of the espresso machine fill my ears while the smell of roasted coffee filled my nose. The furniture and interior design was astounding. They had burnt orange leather seats, and chestnut floors, no one misses out on a good spot here. We are greeted with a smile and we order. As my friend is talking to the cashier I analyze the other employees. It is insanely busy yet none of the workers looked like they wanted to die. They all had such amazing energy and just looked nice in general. I would feel safe in a room with all these workers, every single one was a warm person. Our order is taken and we sit on the very comfortable seating on the farthest back wall. It was an exceptional spot because I could see everything. Business men on their computers, moms talking over coffee, teens and their friends. It wasn’t crowded tho, it was comforting. Our names are called and we pick up our drinks. I got a iced brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso. I take a sip and it is nothing but delightful. The sweetness of the oat milk melted together with the espresso perfectly. The business was dying down as we left. When we first entered this Starbucks, there was a line down the parking lot, now it was only around 7 cars. These workers are fast, efficient and kind and this starbucks is highly...
Read moreGood place. The coffee is sometimes overly strong, I wish we could be asked which roast of bean we want; just so I could get lighter but I know that causes unwanted and somewhat unrealistic expectations from the Starbucks employees if they always have to ask this. I know I can ask but sometimes I'm not sure what the lighter versions are. I just wish there was more info about this at generally any Starbucks...it's more the baristas have to explain I'm sure too much, but maybe if there were phamplets for the rich and darker coffee beans to ratio to lighter but robust coffee beans? I'm not sure if I'm saying this correctly, but I think easy access to coffee bean info would be helpful for customers and the baristas just trying to do their job without having to explain something for the 100th time to someone who could just learn it from a longer pamphlet...I just think this is a good idea, otherwise I really really love Starbucks and their service here and all the others one I've been to as well! Ty for your hard work...
