IHOP — Restaurant in Waukee

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I have been coming and picking up my roommate from here for about a week now, yesterday I came in and met all the employees and everything went fine no issues whatsoever. Then today I went in to pick her up like normal and I used the backdoor as I did the day before, I had two employees who jumped down my throat as soon as I walked in, Ricki and Nicki. Ricki wasn’t much of the problem. After speaking to the manager Jeff, Nicki had came around the corner stating she wanted to call the owner Steven. I had made a joke with Jeff and I am guessing I triggered something in Nicki and she began to get upset, and tried coming at me. 3 of her coworkers had to hold her back from hurting me in the entry way of the party room. She was yelling and cussing at me with customers sat down in the front room watching her nasty behavior. I was asked to leave and I stated I had to pick up my roommate and give her a ride home, so I was then told to go and sit in my car and wait for her to come outside, that I did. I went through the side door of the party room. As I was walking out around the corner behind the building I noticed Nicki standing there beginning to take off her apron hat etc jumping up and down talking more trash to me. I told her that my son was in the car and I would call the police. Then I continued to walk to my car and she and other employees began to come outside, Steven (the owner) his nephew Carl then came outside yelling at my significant other while he was helping me get into the car because Nicki was trying to attack me. They have no cameras outside whatsoever so nobody but us seen Nicki run out back after I went out the side door. I then managed to get Steven’s number to call him and report how ignorant his staff were and how unhappy I was about the way I was ran after while trying to obey instructions and going to my car. He stated his employee Nicki and his manager Jeff had already called him and pretty much didn’t seem to care about what I had to say. I do not recommend this place and if I were to recommend it then I would highly suggest removing those employees who don’t respect...

My daughter's first birthday celebration at IHOP was absolutely delightful, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Ashlynn H. From the moment we stepped inside, Ashlynn's warm welcome set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Her attentive service and genuine kindness made us feel right at home.

The food at IHOP was delicious, with each dish prepared to perfection. From fluffy pancakes to other ordered savory entrees, every bite was a delight for the taste buds. The cozy atmosphere of IHOP added to the overall charm of the occasion, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

What truly made our visit extra special was Ashlynn's thoughtful gesture of bringing out a complimentary cup of vanilla ice cream for my daughter, complete with whipped cream and colorful sprinkles. It was such a sweet surprise and brought a huge smile to my daughter's face.

In conclusion, our experience at IHOP exceeded our expectations, thanks in large part to Ashlynn's exceptional service. Her attention to detail and genuine care for her guests made our daughter's first birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We will definitely be returning to IHOP for future celebrations and...

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The wait was not bad for a busy time in the morning and we had 8 people. When seated we ordered our drinks not a problem there was a wait but we understood they were busy. Then we put our orders in and waited 30 min later we got six of our orders and were told the other two would be out shortly. While we waited we cut up my 2 year old nieces order and found hair cooked into the chicken strips we ordered for her by this time most of is were in the middle of eating our food and all needed refills on drinks we never got them. Finally we get to were all of us were done eating and our 2 orders still had not shown up we were told that the orders were never made and would be made fast for them at this point the manager came go talk with us he explained what what had happened and we was very apologetic to what happened gave us our 3 issue meals for free made thing right. We got home and finally they got to eat only to find in one of the orders another hair in the chicken fried steak...absolutely will not be going back go this place that can't follow basic...
