Hyper Energy Bar — Restaurant in Waukee

As much as I love hyper and i am avid about going there regularly… they REALLY need to figure out the drive through situation. With the line some days to the street its VERY difficult to navigate, and if you don’t want to get a drink because of the line, it’s nearly impossible to navigate around the building to get out. Also, I don’t understand why they don’t have an app or order ahead where you could walk up to the window that they have and just get your order and not be it because I will skip out on going there when the line is ridiculous and I have a time crunch. It would be amazing if you could order ahead for this reason :) Also other coffee places like 7 brew have workers outside taking orders and their flow system is elite. I love hyper and I will continue to go there, but I really do think they need to figure out the ordering system / line as well as getting an app to order ahead. Drinks are great at this place but I would urge you to support somewhere else or make them at home. Hyper hired me last year (I have almost 10 years experience as a barista) and within less than a week fired me for no reason. The alleged reason was “just not a good fit” aka they disapproved of how I look more than likely. They made sure I finished out the week and waited till I clocked out of what was my last shift before firing me with no warning. Owner (who interviewed and hired me) couldn’t even fire me herself had to have another employee do it- over the phone, not in person. We LOVE Hyper Bar! I'm a big fan of the seasonal rotating drink menus and I always find at least one I can't get enough of and just when they're about to go away I realize I'm going to miss my new favorite until my new new favorite comes along! They even have some random one time drinks that pop up in between that always are worth a try. I snag it sometimes in the morning on the way to drop my kids off at daycare before work and my son just loves it when they have new stickers or if there is a candy that comes along with the drinks that I can give to him. The staff are always super nice and give great recommendations when I'm split between a couple drinks! 10/10 Hyper Bar is a must try for any...
