Exotic nails — Local services in Wayne

I never really write reviews, but this warrants one. My friend and I normally go 20-25 minutes away to get our nails done, but we saw this place was more local, so we gave it a shot. The first time we went, we absolutely loved it, our nails came out amazing and there was no lifting, everything was the same shape and length, and then we went back after 5 weeks and had completely different people than the last time. The man I had kept telling me to "relax," and was bending my fingers and my hands in the most unrelaxed position. Then, after telling me to relax essentially the entirety of my appointment, he smacked my hand with the nail file to get one of my fingers down. Normally, when they do the moisturizer at the end, it comes with a hand massage. He barely put any lotion, and did not massage my hands, he punched my palm about 5-6 times and then said "ok have a good day." My friend walked out with her skin bleeding because her skin was filed instead of her nail. The lady who did her nails would file a nail, and then text, file a nail, send a text. I guess it really depends on who you get, but if you want to keep up a consistent good reputation, you have to have workers that are consistently good. It should not depend on the day or depend on who you get. We will be going back to our salon 20-25 minutes away, and wished we could have had better experiences here so we did not...

I called Kevin to book an appointment, he would not answer the phone. Then I called from another number and he picked up right away. Instead of stating I’m not available to do your nails anymore he made up many excuses. So I thought back to my last appointment. My nail were done by Kevin and within 2 days the polished chipped. I went back to the nail salon and asked could you fixed it. It was obvious it was a new set. Immediately he went on to say I was banging my nails too rough. Well if that were so it would have chipped all the way across instead of in one corner. Then he said the nail art he had done on the nail tips on display have never chipped off and it was done years ago. No surprise here there no movement. Button line your job is to make you customers happy not blame them for lousy nail art. No worries there are so many nail salons around. Good luck. Hope you can afford to treat customer like this. I was actually recommended to go here, but would not return. I really do not like posting negative reviews, but I’m very disappointed in our experience here. Made an appointment in advance for an adult and child. I specifically said the child wants a full mani pedi and upon an early arrival- they say oh we thought it was just polish. They accommodated, but it took way longer. But I think the thing that was the most frustrating was the quality of polish. The regular polish started coming off later that evening! My gel polish started lifting within 3 days and that was before a vacation even began so couldn’t go back. It’s less than two weeks after the appt, and no more gel polish is left!
