Zero stars for upper management and supervisors! The directors DO NOT stand behind their employees whatsoever or have an open door policy! They do not deal with problems or issues at all! My daughter is a counselor there at summer camp and has been for years! Beth is a counselor there and is mean, rude, nasty! Very unprofessional and pawns her job off on others while barking orders like she is boss! A 20 year old guy counselor inappropriately touched my daughter and had no right, but NOTHING WAS DONE! My daughter forgot her tennis shoes one day and was yelled at, and forced to sign a letter for discipline basically called a liar. Other counselors wear Crocs and sandals all the time and were never asked to sign a letter. Double standards! so my daughter without thinking said that she would not be back her last week and a half of work because of these issues not being addressed because all she asked for was that those three things be dealt with so she could keep her job because she has worked there for years. Mr. Davis had the nerve to email me back and stay that he felt it was best that they part ways with her working there with no explanation which means he would not stand up for her or go to bat for her and she is a damn good employee who does her job and comes to work and she does not cause trouble like other people. So they showed no more respect for her than that? Are you kidding me? seems like a letter to the board of directors...
Read moreI had a very good experience with the before and after school program at Fairview Elementary. Great staff members - my son was treated with kindness and respect. I was always quickly advised of any concerns and always felt welcomed into the program. Even when my son was faced with some bullying, it was handled quickly and discreetly.
However, the YMCA front desk staff could really use some training on good customer service. No one ever seems to know the answers to my questions, which is fine if they would return a call as promised while finding the answer. But what topped it off- I called inquiring what the final payment deduction date would be for child care and was advised 'it is in your contract, I hope you kept it'. I could have pulled the contract out of storage, but it was a simple question and to be belittled by someone using a tone of annoyance when you're a paying customer is very disheartening. I called them maybe 2-3 times all school year and each time was a bad experience. YMCA needs customer service training to be completed with the staff members that...
Read moreI'm super pumped to have signed up for the Y. The front desk girl, who's name was Alice I believe, was super helpful and gave me a tour once everything was filled out. I originally went in for a single adult member with the intention of getting my feet wet but upon learning the next swim lessions for my daughter were right around the corner, I decided to upgrade to one adult and child. They were not able to adjust it right then and there, but they sent a email to the person who can and got my daughter on the list for the next swim session, something I really appreciated. It was very busy for a Saturday and it was nice to see so many families come there to enjoy the environment. I look forward to using the facilities and updating tm review as I expire more things with...
