China King buffet — Restaurant in Waynesboro

Ordered take out here for New Years. Very good food no issues. It was hot didn't take that long to be ready and was very tasty. We were also glad they were open due to not wanting to cook on the holiday. I must explain the only reason they got 4 stars is because they were quite pricey but did give us free chinese donuts with our order. I would recommend eating here as long as your not looking to take the cheap way out. Very good local restaurant.

So had lunch here today and I must sound like a broken record at this point but I believe this business is quite possibly another victim of covid changing businesses mainly restaurants for the worse. Since we were last here about a year ago it seems the dinning room has reopened and my wife, kids and I were very unimpressed with the food for one which was not fresh at all and also some of it was not very hot or even warm. The service that we received was very subpar as well. Our empty plates just sat on the table and our drinks were not refilled until I finally managed to flag a waitress or whatever she was down to ask. The only 3 times that someone approached our table were to ask what my son's age was so they could charge the proper amount, to ask me if I wanted to upgrade to the dinner to include the seafood on the buffet so they could charge me more and then for them to bring the check. Usually I'm a real good tipper even if the food is bad but the service was ok, I know server's don't make much but this time I tipped appropriately....2 dollars because I felt like that's what the service was worth just like the 2 stars I have now changed this...

We enjoy coming here and have been coming here for 20+ years. The food is good and the service is decent for a buffet. HOWEVER, do you think you could go back to a uniform dress code? And hire employees that actually keep themselves busy doing something OTHER than standing around behind the counter playing on their phones? I truly do not know what happened to the professionalism in this establishment but over the past I've seen "servers" with pink, blue, green, and whatever color hair on the one girl, who also wears pants with holes all thru them.When this restaurant opened decades ago, they all looked very professional in black shirt and black pants. It gave the feel of an actual dining experience, now it feels like a club hangout. I completely understand freedom of expression, but some standards should stay traditional. Dress codes of some type still should be considered when working with the public. It's shameful to see this attire every time we come in to eat. And why have these girls on the payroll if they don't do anything but check people out and play on their phones? I have yet to see any one of them grab a broom to sweep or even a cloth to wipe tables down. The owners still do all the seating, clearing of the tables, and sweeping, as well as being food out to customers. Instead of wasting money on people that dont take some of the weight off your shoulders, save that money for yourselves to take vacation.

Give us back the atmosphere...

I would give it ZERO stars if I was able to. ALL the food was SOUR!! There was pieces of cleaning scrub pad fibers in my son's food! There was a dead squished fly in my daughter's ice cream. The hot and sour soup wasn't even edible! The egg rolls had a foul smell to them and when I cut it in half it was all mush! The sushi was old and sour! That's bad! The restaurant was dirty, and the staff was making wontons at the table near us! Really? That sounds like a health hazard to me. I went to the front register and complained about the food. She argued with me for about 5 mins before I just gave up and went back to my seat. She came over to the table and STILL wanted to argue. So I got loud and made sure everyone in that establishment heard me!! There was 5 of us at my table, and they should have atleast done SOMETHING to attempt to right their wrongs. This place is disgusting and I will never eat there again! Ever! And I will make sure EVERYBODY I KNOW will also not waste their money there and know about the experience!!! Absolutely...
