I wanted a change since I have had the same style for years. I called ahead and was assured the stylist knew how to cur curly hair. The stylist looked at the picture I brought with me 3 times and said she would not do the shorter layers but was going to do longer layers instead. She said it would be that cut just with longer layers, even though I wanted shorter layers. She gave me no layers at all and actually cut off the ones that I did have at the bottom. So now my hair is still the same old style I walked in there with just with a lot taken off of the bottom. Because I have curly hair that needs layers, it's just one big frizzy poof. My daughter has extremely thick and curly hair and I was looking for a place for her to get a cut and style and came across American Roots. We made an appt for a consultation so that we could make sure that this salon was the right fit for my daughter. After waiting for about 20min the stylist had not shown up for the consultation and I was very upset. Later that same day Vicki (the stylist) called and apologized profusely. She said if we were still interested she would cut and style my daughter’s hair for free. Long story short, my daughter LOVES her hair and we are both very happy.
