Piney River Taproom — Restaurant in Waynesville

There were 3 of us & we walked in & we were picking out a place to sit & the man said,” I’m a 1 man show today” & we’re like okay, asked for a menu, he said,”It’s only pizza” I was ready to walk out, but this place was recommended to us. Heard the pizza & pretzels were amazing. As we decided what we wanted on our pizza, he just kept rolling his eyes, got our pizza order in, we all wanted water with lemon, he says,” no lemons today “ & I guess there was no ice either. I would guess he’s the owner possibly ( older man, glasses) & doesn’t care about customers eating at his place of business or if he’s an employee, maybe this establishment needs to look into this employee. Piney River Taproom. This was a cozy, chill vibe taproom. Room enough for about 55 people, Piney River brews on tap or in a 6 pack of cans for take home. 12” Pizza was good for a quick service establishment and fairly priced for what your getting. Thin crust( not paper thin, or break under the weight of toppings thin) crisp all the way through from edge to center. Cheesy perfectly melted, and finished with an Italian seasoning. 10” soft pretzel, was good spicy brown mustard on the side, little heavy on the salt, but nothing that couldn’t be scrapped off. Overall this Taproom has my vote for a quaint lunch spot. Definitely recommend grabbing a beer...

The taproom was great, we went there with a large group and they accommodated wonderfully.the gentleman behind the counter was also very nice and friendly, and the pizza was very good.Tthey had a decent selection of beer and non alcoholic drinks as well. A nice find for a small town. The only reason I took off a star was because they do not have small plates for the pizza. I didn't love not having a plate to put...
