I starting working with John many years ago after seeing a contemporary piece of jewelry that his wife was wearing. It was beautifully designed and executed. I knew then that this was the person to design any jewelry that I would wear going forward. I have purchased a number of custom pieces of jewelry and as of yesterday, a new watch, and have been nothing but happy with my experience of working with John. Besides his great design talent and attention to detail on the actual pieces he makes for his clients, he is a joy to work with and one other important thing for me is that when I leave a piece of jewelry with him for whatever reason, I know that my jewelry is safe and that the stone that I brought in, is the one I will leave with. I highly recommend Jon Gilbert for designing a custom jewelry piece! I went to Wayzata Jewelers with the idea of creating a ring that would incorporate diamonds from three generations of family wedding rings. Throughout the entire process, Jon listened to my ideas and included meaningful details I wanted integrated into the design. He used CAD software to form an image of the ring with me by his side, making sure every element was to my approval. Jon also printed the ring in 3D so I could see what the finished ring would look like on my finger prior to creating the final piece.
