Wow. Where do I even start? I’ve been getting my hair professionally done since the age of 15. I’m now 43. Recently, my stylist moved out of state and so I’ve been really trying to find a stylist that a) doesn’t price gouge and b) is obviously good. But what I have to say about Ultimate Touch is that I have never… in my life… been treated the way I was in any salon on Wednesday in your establishment (of which I went to you people when Lexi worked for you when I was doing my natural hair color back in 2020). I thought I’d try you guys again (remembering how great Lexi was). I spoke to your receptionist a month ago about exactly what I needed done (a bleach root retouch and toner) as I know blonde coloring can be challenging for some stylists (especially those who don’t have a lot of experience doing blondes by bleach). I specifically asked your receptionist for someone in there that had the experience with blondes. She told me she would put me with “Nicole.” When I called back to book the appointment, she put me with a different stylist (don’t know her name) of which I saw on Wednesday. On Wednesday, this particular stylist didn’t even introduce herself to me. She was standing behind the counter so I thought she may be another receptionist. She told me to come to the chair and asked me what we were doing today. Ummmm… ?!? So I told her what I was there for. She left and came back several minutes later telling me “the label says do not put bleach on the scalp. So that she cannot service me today.” I almost started to laugh. Knowing you guys left me in a pinch here I was desperately thinking of just having you dye it back my natural hair color. Thank God that didn’t happen! I was caught so off guard. Then your receptionist wouldn’t even look at me nor acknowledge me while I was walking out. As though I’m some kind of lunatic for getting my hair bleached. What kills me is that you people told me in advance you take the money for any missed appointments. Umm how about the fact that I’m leaving for a trip on Saturday and now have to scramble to find a place to take me last minute? How about the 20 minute drive to you and time lost I could have been working on my own business? I hope everyone reads this. It’s worthy of a TikTok video. I wouldn’t even bother explaining yourselves because there is no explanation at this point, it’s only going to further embarrass all of you.
P.S. anyone reading this… don’t pay attention to owners response in these reviews on “how wonderful her receptionist & staff are.” Tooting their own horn trying to cover up for their carelessness and lack of integrity . They are snobby, ignorant and as...
Read moreFirst of all the stars are for the prices, not the services provided. I started going to this salon because the services were good and the prices were manageable. I am retired so being on a fixed budget this is important. That is no longer the case with the prices. They have gone up dramatically and I will be changing out my services. I had booked a mani/pedi and a hair glazing. I had one of my nails split and I called before my appt to ask about what could be done. My nail tech had told me to call before my appointment about this particular service so I could verify the cost. The nail person thought it was about $5.00. I called and spoke to the owner and she had no idea what I was asking so she said she would have Lucy, the nail tech call me the next day which was a Thursday. My appt was on Saturday. No phone call. I went to my appt and asked Lucy why she didn't call me. Lucy said she never got a msg to call me. My last service for the day was a hair glaze. I had been talking to the hairdresser a couple of tines about cutting my dead ends and she said I could book that for my next appt. I asked if it could be done now if she had time. It was just a trim and my hair is straight so it was not a big deal. She said sure, no problem. She just cut a little off the ends. I stopped at the desk to pay for my services and almost fainted at the amount. I was charged an additional $43.00 the cost of a haircut. This was not a haircut. I complained about this to the owner. I said it was not a haircut, only the ends were cut. I got a shoulder shrug so I told her next time my husband would be trimming my ends off for me. Very disappointed. I thought I had found a decent place for my hair and nails. ADDEDENDUM Thanks for your response. My apologies, I thought Star was an owner that's why I spoke to her. I did not need a lengthy technical explanation of why I was charged an additional $43 for having my dead ends cut after being charged for a hair glaze. The hair glaze does get blown dry. And please don't say the nail tech was asked twice to call me, I had already asked her and she was not given the msg. One request; please send itemized receipts. That would be helpful. As I initially stated, the services and employees at your spa are wonderful. Thanks for your time...
Read moreI will always give 5 stars because I believe it’s a beautifully run business with good management. The employees seem happy to be working there and they are always so friendly :)
Jennifer did SUCH an amazing job with the deep tissue massage. You can tell she really has a passion for caring for others. She listened to me and focused on my specific needs, even managed to get a knot out that had been there for almost a year!! Highly recommend her!
Rhaya chose an absolutely stunning color for my tone up and was very kind. My hair looks amazing! Even my clients were complimenting it at work the next day :)
I was slightly disappointed with the eyebrow service. I am not someone who wears makeup so my eyebrows are the main feature of my face. I normally get them threaded, but I had seen Jaime here previously for a wax and tint and she did an amazing job. It was a different person this time, and I explained that I just like the edges cleaned up, I don’t want the shape changed, and explained how important my eyebrows were to me. She said not to worry, and was very friendly overall. She had a very happy kind demeanor :) however, the shape was completely changed and she waxed very far inward from the middle. My anxiety spiked when I felt the hair come off/where she had applied the wax. I have very short, 2000’s esque eyebrows which breaks my heart :( I went out and bought a brow pencil to help while they grow back. She did do a lovely job with the tint service and that portion was very well done. The color was matched...
