I spent way too much money in there like $500 and made out like a weed bandit with plenty of funny t-shirts, stickers, coffee mugs, patches and novelty items that displayed every pun on weed one can think of. For the record most of what I bought were gifts but it wasn't anything that represented Weed as a town. They got a cool name and are capitalizing full throttle printing money with that business. The workers were nice and down for small talk since I shopped for almost two hours picking out gifts for all my people so I didn't mind spending time and money there when I really should have been heading home, so what I was a few days late on my schedule, I was flowing with the breeze, adapting to my ever changing plans anyway so I didn't mind one bit if I was late because I was already late, the store was fun to browse because I was buying gifts for people who are into weed (as in the smokable product which they do not sell at this store, so don't ask). I urge y'all to at least look around in the store if you like weed and a lot of puns and touristy merchandise, not cheap though. I don't think I got a discount on my tab but that didn't matter I lost track of my spending because I was definitely baked in Weed forsure. That's Weed, CA where I was baked, fried, and overcooked by the time I got out of town. At least the cops left me alone and I made it home to Climax, Oregon where my trip peaked and I was high so I slept in the car, I woke up a day or two later not knowing where I was for a few moments until I looked at my location history on this app and then it all came surging back with memories I thought I lost but Maps tracked everything and places with exact times it took me to drive and pins in all the places I stopped to get gas or use the bathroom. At least weed is legal now, so chatting about weed the reefer in the town of Weed isn't taboo anymore like it used to be 20ish years ago. I'd love to go back and see more Weed and what it has to offer and get to chatting with more Weed locals. It's definitely worth the pit stop to at least blaze up at the minimum, but respect the townsfolk because not everyone will think your funny smoking weed in Weed and taking selfies of the moment so keep that on the down low because it ain't funny to some folks there so be discreet, respect the locals, keep your weed to yourself, be aware of the schools and kids possibly nearby because that surprised me trying to be discreet and last thing anybody needs is to get busted puffing a doobie in a unfamiliar place not realizing you are near a school and most likely in a school zone by default and we should respect those zones, even though the school is called Weed High and is good for selfies of the sign while hitting a bong (or water pipe we had to call them back in my day), just don't do it! Say NO to drugs, say...
Read moreOMG I finally stopped... as a kid you never get to stop where you want to but now as a adult... I can stop any where I want 🤣. So I was actually travelling from Oregon to California and on our way back we decided we were going to stop. Now with me my 16 year old son we were super excited about going into the store it was nothing like I imagined. I was envisioning a very tacky junkie like store with a lot of Nick nacks it is completely the opposite !! It was a very nice, organised and kind of more upscale feeling gift store. Kevin the gentleman working that day was very kind, welcoming, nice guy. He even helped me when I got home with my regrets on not purchasing a piece of art that was hanging on the wall. I called him when I got home , he remembered who I was , took my order over the phone and I am expecting my art in just a few weeks.
Great place,...
Read moreWe always get sucked into souvenir shops every trip we take, and we ended up at The Weed Store, and I’m so glad we did! The employee working was very friendly, and chatted with us about where we were from and our upcoming Mt. Shasta summit bid. Like others have mentioned, the shop owner Mark takes absolutely stunning photos. I’m not sure if it was me flipping through the 2026 calendar, or that I took Mark’s card for his photography site, but as we were leaving, the employee handed us a 2025 calendar with stunning shots of Mt. Shasta. I highly recommend visiting if you love souvenir shops! The store is super clean, easy to navigate around, and had...
