I’ve been coming to this market for years whenever we’re in town. I usually love the place because of the friendly people and well-stocked shelves. This year, maybe because of the Covid issues, the staff is cranky. Everyone is accustomed to wearing masks in public, so that’s not an issue. But it’s the only public place that I’ve been to that requires customers to wear plastic gloves, and they aren’t shy about chasing folks down the aisles to enforce it. I wish someone would explain to them that hand sanitizer is far more effective in preventing spreading of the virus. But I’m okay with that. What I didn’t need was the rude older gentleman - the manager perhaps. When I was trying to reach deep into a bottom rack for a gallon of cold water, instead of helping me, he growled instructions to go get a room temp jug in the front. It’s the only market for miles, and prices are high, but that’s to be expected in a small town market. The rudeness I...

Also, it’s cramped as heck in there during the summer months. In the spring and fall it’s not so bad, but they really should come up with a better layout for the checkout area. It annoys him when you stand in one spot trying to make a decision on one overpriced pack of butter compared to another overpriced pack of butter. What can I say? I have a hard time making decisions! I hope he has people who love him in the world because he seems like he has a very difficult personality. However, I have to hand it to him; someone there thinks he’s great at his job because he’s worked there for YEARS! I’d love to know...

Two days later i'm back in the same place to pick up milk and pasta alone with salsa and sauce. The same young man rang me up again. He was looking down not saying a word and i nicely said "Hello" He instantly looked up and gave me a look. Then he smiled a HUGE smile. I felt like i...
