I cannot believe how I was just treated over the phone by one of the gun counter employees, and then his supervisor.
I could sit here and give a detailed story for the public to read about what happened. No need. What I will say here is that I just recently gained an internet following that listens to what I have to say. And they kind of do what I tell them to because I have what they want. So, I hope Stan's Merry-Mart is prepared for what is coming their way. I'm one hell of a good salesman and I'm about to open my mouth, starting today.
Lastly, I feel bad for all of their employees not only for how they are currently treated, but also for what this is going to do to their jobs. There are better jobs out there with better employers and better pay. Hopefully they all figure it out!
Never a bad time for an edit! So here I am a few days after originally posted this. I was up at 7-Eleven buying some provisions when I noticed the stands Mary Mart employee in front of me discussing work drama that she probably shouldn't have to the front counter person ringing in her order. After she left out the door and he started to ring me up, I explained to him the entire circumstance and story of what I had went through at Stan's Mary Mart a few days prior. He could not believe how I was treated down there and what the management had said in regards to the sales of guns by their employees that know nothing of the gun laws. Utter shock was his expression.
I'm going to keep on talking to everyone. I can letting them know exactly what went down in that building. A presidential candidate was just shot by a gun and stands. Mary Mart can't tell you anything about the product that they're selling unless management approves of the question to be answered.
WIERDOS! LOSERS! COWARDS! All backed by the local sheriff's department and the Wenatchee PD. I will just go buy my weapons to protect myself somewhere else with smarter more knowledgeable people that know how to treat their customers.

Read moreI understand customer service, and I understand how retail works because I too worked in retail, so I can maybe understand why my fiend and I were being followed by more then Beyonce's twitter page. The older lady working in the back men's section, (as we were looking in the carhart jackets, overalls, apants, and ext.hdid her best to accommodate to our needs. But then it just got obvious what she was doing, they were profiling us. And like I said, I know the job details and task, but that much "help" came off as if she KNEW for a FACT I was going to shoplift something. Which is why I pulled out my phone and kept both hands as if I was texting, then I just walked out to the main isle and stood there waiting for my friend, which he was hurried along and also giving advice by this lady that the jacket she was RECOMMENDING was the "WARMEST" one out of the Carharts, which may I say quite spendy, so I would think for what they charged that it would be more then just a designer jacket, so back to my review, she was telling him about the warmth (as she was being his shadow) that it made my friend purchase this jacket. Which now he is finding out (same-day purchase and review today) that it's not as warm as what she made it sound like, as a matter of fact he said that he was colder then his previous carhart he had. So now my friend is colder then before (may I remind you it's a snow storm out here) so being pushed along and not yet done looking was lead to the counter and asked "are you ready to pay for that?", (that's what I asked the customer when I KNEW they were shoplifting), I was looking at Dickies(which I also purchased) was found by my friend and we paid and left. He then told me his experience, and I told him mine. I was not going to write a review until after I found out about his jacket and then that's when we figured we would write a review now because that was more than when something that was when we made more then one negative about...
Read moreThe reason I continue to come to this store for years is, in spite of its small selection compared to Lowe's and Home Depot, is for excellent customer service. Ben, when he's working, is the best greeter there is, and quite knowledgeable.
Yes, it is a little pricier than the mega stores per product in average, and yes, they don't have everything the gigantic stores have, but Stan's/Ace has more helpers per customer on average than the bigger hardware stores. It's much easier and quicker to find what you need, even if the employees are busy with other customers. Don't get me wrong, the giant stores strive for customer service as well, however, we need to compare apples to apples, and when done, I think Ace/Stan's stands above.
I recommend it to...
