I just visited Venus nail bar for the first time today and my experience was extremely unpleasant the nail technician that did my pedicure cut my toe and just continued on as if nothing happened even as I was bleeding and almost jumped out of the chair as I was telling him that he cut me and my toe was burning he responded by saying it’s ok. I responded by saying it is not ok and that he was hurting me. We were able to get through the pedicure but it was in no way the relaxing experience that I was expecting. After the pedicure the nail tech passed me off to another tech to do my dip polish, not sure where he went he literally just disappeared without even a thank you. The tech that did my dip seemed to be just rushing through it. As I went to check out I did speak quietly to the person at the front desk expressing my disappointment and showing her where I had been cut, she really did not say anything other than oh, I honestly would have been satisfied if she had at least acknowledged what happened and offered an apology for the bad experience. ** update 7/6/22 I figured I would try them again today I was getting a dip and a pedicure when I picked my dip nail color I asked if they had a a polish to match Ann was my nail tech she said you are in luck we have the match to the color you picked. Long story short my toes came out an orange color and my nails are hot pink. When I pointed it out to Ann I was told it’s a mix match color it’s fine, I told her it was not fine with me the colors are not even close to matching. She walked away for a moment and came back and just said ok you are all done. I said so you are just going to leave me with these colors not being anywhere near a match she again said it’s fine it’s mix match. I went to the front desk and explained what was going on a Ann came to the front Adair saying the same thing. I told them I would not pay for a service I was unhappy with and there was never an offer to try to find a solution. I did walk out...
Read moreI'm not really happy with this place. Yesterday was my second time here, the first time it was ok but yesterday the lady that was working on my nails looked like she didn't want to be there. When I walked in there was only one other customer and me, they were on the back talking and maybe she got mad that someone walked in. She asked me what I wanted to get done and I asked her if she could change the shape of my nails, she said yes and started using the little machine to shape the nails, but she was doing it so fast like she had something else to do. The nails looked terrible and I told her I didn't liked the shape, she took a deep breath and asked me if I wanted to go back to the previous shape, I said yes and she got upset. When she was almost done she used the buffer and was doing it so fast that I felt my skin burning, Also my nails look horrible because when she was polishing them she was trying to fix the mess she was doing on them with the nail file and all of the dust got on the polish. Also another customer walked in and asked for a pedicure, when they started the pedicure the customer asked if she could switch the color and the lady that was working with her got upset and yelled at her ' you don't like this color? Can I go home? ' Very unprofessional Anyways! I won't...
Read moreNot crazy about this place, they always seem to increase their prices and don’t tell you. I’ve been getting pedicures here due to the salons close proximity to my house. I get gel pedicures, which are normally $45. Today, I was charged an additional fee (on top of my pedicure charge and gel polish charge) for them to remove the gel I have on my toes currently, and paint the new gel. I asked them about the difference in cost, which I immediately noticed because I pay close attention to what I’m being charged for these very reasons (price changes). The guy told me they now charge to remove gel from your toes, even if you’re getting a pedicure and a fresh gel polish change. Never heard of that, and he said it was due to the economy and higher prices for product. Don’t get me wrong, I understand business and the economy, but that just seems like a way to get more money out of people in a scamming manner. Especially when the gel isn’t “soaked” off, and they file it off. It’s already an up charge to get gel polish, which I understand. Now you’re saying it’s an up charge for gel polish and a fee for you to file, not even soak, it off?? Negative! I won’t...
