FYI: This review is specifically for RADD soccer. I couldn’t find a google page specific to RADD.
I’ll start with the good! Our coach is very knowledgeable and great with the kids. The information that is given to them by the league as far as drills for practice is very clear. I like the emails with the drills and skills they work on each week. It’s so helpful! The director is always present and responsive. Also, the facilities are still new and nice! But…there are quite a few problems. Maybe they are still working things out because it’s a new league. First, uniforms weren’t given out until 6 weeks into the season. Not the end of the world. The teams are very uneven (in quantity AND skill level) I don’t remember having any kind of evaluations before the season. And I’m not complaining because my child’s team is losing. They’re actually undefeated so far this season. My child’s team has had to lend the opposing team our players during games on more than one occasion. And they have added players to our roster since then! Makes no sense. There are U8 and U10 teams practicing until 9pm on school nights. My 9year old is getting to bed at 10 after getting home, showering and having a snack. Bedtimes vary in every household, but it’s normally 8:30 in our home. During those late practices there are only a couple of lights for the fields, so there isn’t enough light on half of the field. I really hope they are able to iron out some of these kinks for next season....
Read moreI’ve been attending volleyball events at this facility for three years, occasionally catching soccer matches too. Unfortunately, my experience has consistently ranged from frustrating to unacceptable:
Climate Control? A Joke. It’s either freezing cold or there’s no AC at all. When the system fails—and it often does—conditions become unbearable, especially for young athletes expected to perform in the heat. This is not just uncomfortable, it's unsafe.
Parking Is a Disaster. Not enough parking - period. Attendants are poorly trained and give inaccurate directions. Just yesterday, I was directed to a faraway field lot, only to later find dozens of open spaces right near the entrance.
And Now They’re Charging for It?! For the first time in three years, they suddenly started charging for parking - but only during selective hours throughout the day for volleyball parents and ending before the soccer events begin. That’s shady and inequitable. Even worse, from what I’ve read, the property isn’t zoned for pay-to-park operations, making this likely illegal.
This complex has had years to fix these issues - and continues to disappoint. It’s disorganized, poorly managed, and lacks even the most basic standards of comfort and fairness for players and families alike. Wesley Chapel...
Read moreLike the other posts indicate, the building and grounds are nice, but that is where the honeymoon ends. Parking is inadequate, spectacular/seating/walking areas is inadequate, court layout is awful and worse was the HVAC system. Clearly, as prior reviews indicate, there is something wrong with the current system’s design. Being in construction, I’d say the heat gain calculations when the building was designed and built were way off. The visible supply duct work appears undersized for the size of the space. (Our high school gyms supply ductwork is twice the size in a building a quarter the size). This resulted in an undersized HVAC system that cannot keep up when the building is at capacity. I thought I was going to pass out and I was only a spectator. I know the athletes were negatively affected by the 80 plus degree temperatures inside the court area. In addition, game play was continuously interrupted to wipe sweat from the court. I witnessed several athletes slipping during matches making for an undue dangerous playing environment! It is simply unacceptable to hold future events at this venue until the problems are...
