I highly recommend BoxDrop if you are in the market for a mattress or couch/sectional! You can likely beat their selection with larger stores or online options, but their customer service and desire to help you find what you're looking for (and get you a great deal along the way) is truly exemplary.
My wife and I found BoxDrop through a listing on Facebook Marketplace, and boy, I am glad we decided to check it out! We were looking to upgrade our queen mattress to a king, had been waiting a while, and finally decided to see what BoxDrop had to offer. It is very unassuming from the exterior. It looks like a warehouse ā and it basically is. There is a small "office" area at the front, but the rest is a large open area with couches and sectionals; mattresses and a few bed frames are at the back with their true warehousing area in the latter half of the building. I'm not sure how BoxDrop operates in terms of their relationships with other retailers, manufacturers, distributers, etc., but they gave us an incredible deal. Scott patiently showed us a number of mattresses and adjustable bases, helping us determine what suited us best and what we truly wanted to spend our money on (between the mattress and the base). In the end, Scott made us a great offer on our favorite mattress (which we initially had ruled out by its price) and threw in bonus items along the way.
If you have plenty of cash to spend and the brand is most important to you, BoxDrop will probably not be the "shopping experience" you're looking for. Well those places made me feel pressured and they really didnt want to sell me anything less than a high end mattress. Some people cannot afford a $1000 for a mattress, myself being those people. I walked into BoxDrop West Bend and Scott approached me, said his hello, told me to go check out some mattresses, and he'd be back when he was done with another customer. Ten minutes later, he returned. Very nonchalantly he asked a simple question, "what did you find that you liked?" I told him I was still up in the air and I also told him my price range. I wasnt talking to a "saleman", it felt like I was talking to a buddy over a beer. He didn't try to upsell me and he took me in the back, and showed me "closeouts" in my price range which were quality mattresses. Still no pressure!!! That's big in my book!!! I felt so comfortable, without ANY push for spending more, that I went up a step, spent a little more money and was out the door without regret...after only being in the building about a half hour!!! When I left, I passed 2 different couples passing by to enter the store. First couple, the guy asked if I was kidding when I said that the place was awesome and the second couple were return customers and told me how awesome the place was!!! Nothing but comfort was felt throughout the process and I told Scott I'd be returning for living room and dining room furniture in the near future. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to be able to leave a 5 star review here, but I'm left feeling a little salty after our shopping experience. While the owner and staff were super helpful and accommodating on the front half of our experience, they fell short in customer satisfaction as a whole. What we loved was the selection at this particular location without being hassled by pushy salespeople. What they fell flat on was the fact they billed, pulled and loaded our order incorrectly resulting in us having to make a return trip to pick up the correct items. I'm not talking about a couple hundred dollar end table here, we actually spent $2k in furniture and drove 45 minutes (one way) just to go to this store. Other than acknowledging his error by ringing the sale up wrong, he made NO attempt to appease this blunder by offering to bring us the correct furniture when I called to notify them of the mistake. When we returned we were not offered a reimbursement for the added inconvenience either, just nothing, like it wasn't a big deal now that they had their payment. Just pull around back and the correct stuff will be there for you to pick up. So, in short, we were left taking another 2 hours out of our day, burned more fuel and had to inconvenience others to get it offloaded (the second time) once we got home. This wasn't our error, it was Drop Box and because they are independently owned we'll be sure to warn everyone to check their purchases if they go here or risk having to return at your own...
