Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in West Bend

Food is fine, but I stopped going here because of the political signs. Used to be "Back the Badge" but corporate told them not to put signs unrelated to DQ so they just added DQ logos and "10% off for first responders." Now they have two far-right school board candidates' signs up. I don't care if you agree or disagree with their signs. It is not welcoming and hurts the DQ brand on a large scale by putting DQ IP in association with politics. I would feel the same way if they had signs with messages I supported. Alas, I have no doubt Kevin and William cry and wet themselves when sports """get political,""" but they're happy to make an ice cream cone about how schools shouldn't have social-emotional learning because empathetic people are bad for business. I frequently stopped at the DQ in Kewaskum. Very happy to have a local DQ in West Bend. Due to covid and my immune system I have not been in the new DQ. No worries as the driver thru is very convenient. Plus the associates are happy and talkative after taking the order. I enjoyed the $6.00 lunch menu with the new Bacon burger burger is the same juicy quality it has been previously. Fries are always piping hot with the perfect amount of salt. Winner is the coupon for a free small sundae. Hot fudge is my guilty pleasure. Update: Today I dined in at the West Bend DQ location. Lots of happy employees eager to help and make my order. The new location is very spacious and offers different kind of seating for all different kind of seats to enjoy the freshly made food. Food was delicious. “Shame on the owner for plastering the grass in front of this franchise with his views” said one user about 3 months ago. I couldn’t agree more, I personally Would never support the man who runs this place along side the Kewaskum location.. he frequently pushes his political views onto his fast food chain franchise at all of his locations.. with political sings at each location it's been reported and confirmed via images in the past. And me myself seeing a couple variations of these sings at the Kewaskum location as well as this one (west bend). it's a god darn franchise… horrible business model if you ask me...
