Slabbed Sports Cards — Local services in West Chester Township

Went in to sell some cards. They told me that I need to talk with the owner because the cards are higher end. They gave me the owners number. I got in contact with him and sent him a picture of the more expensive cards I was looking to sell. He asked me what I was looking to get comp wise. I told him 70% of comps but that I have room if they were looking to take most of the cards off my hands. He said okay and asked me to send him close up pictures of each of the cards and told me he would comp them that night and the next morning and then he would send me the comps and what they would be willing to pay for them. I sent him the pictures about an hour later (82 pictures). This conversation occurred on a Wednesday evening. I didn’t hear anything back so I texted him again that Friday and asked if he was able to comp them and got no response. It’s now about 2 weeks later and still heard nothing back which doesn’t matter at this point I already went to a different shop and had them all comp’d and sold in about 30 minutes. I’ve been collecting cards for a while and this shop is great and the people working there were very friendly but I’ll never be back in there after this guy completely wasted my time. Used to be one of my favorite shops to shop for pokemon but it’s recently gone downhill in my opinion… last couple times i’ve taken cards or went to buy anything i’ve been met with a young girl that doesn’t greet, cusses almost every other sentence and is just not professional. she’ll either pass on more than half your cards saying they can’t sell them or give you way less than the 70% they say they pay. Which i understand some cards may be damaged or undesirable but she literally doesn’t even look at half of them before passing on them. I’ve been ignored multiple times trying to pick out something to buy and like i said just rude. Even a dude offered to buy a card she passed on and she interrupted trying to negotiate our own deal, seemed upset someone else bought it. At this point they’ve raised all their prices by atleast 10-20% but give lower trade in value. just not worth the visit...

I usually stop by this shop once every week or two and have great experiences. My last visit on Monday 7/28 was different. I brought in a box of cards full of autograph, relic, numbered and short print cards. There were a bunch of Reds autos (Andrew Abbott, Hunter Greene & more), Bengals autos (Chase Brown, Tee Higgins & more), a Travis Hunter triple auto numbered to 6, an Elephant RC and a bunch more. The woman working the counter looked at them and said she offers 50% and then looked at a few more cards and said she was going to pass on everything. No one is going to sell their cards for 50% of recent compsand to pass on these was laughable. Shes only going to hurt this business and there's plenty of other shops around.
