Sweetzone Bakery — Restaurant in West Chester Township

We needed a last minute cake after another bakery made our order wrong, so I googled bakeries in the area I was in for an event. Sweet Zone Bakery was the top bakery suggestion. We drove over to the location to see a full parking lot and a line inside, this meant it was good, so we went inside and were instantly greeted by the kindest man behind the counter, even while helping customers he took the time to thank each individual customer for walking in. While standing in line we looked over all the amazing dessert options, so many individual cake slices that looked Devine, pastries, sweet breads and what appeared to be display cakes in the cooler displays. Once it was our turn to order I commented on the beautiful display cakes and was shocked to find out they were in fact REAL whole cakes. I was genuinely shocked, they were so beautiful I assumed they were fake! One was even the exact flavor we needed, caramel with NO chocolate! I know strange but my dad doesn’t like chocolate…

We purchased the entire cake & a tray of pistachio baklava desserts for the party. The tray of desserts were done in a matter of minutes and the cake, oh my goodness the CAKE, it was simply the most amazing tasting cake I have EVER had in my entire life!!!! We do not live in Mason, but we will now be driving the 50 minutes anytime we want dessert!!!

Seriously that one cake that we purchased on a whim, has ruined all store bought cakes!!! It is magnificent & it didn’t even include chocolate!

The desserts were truly amazing, but unfortunately the customer service didn’t match the quality of the food. This was our first time visiting, and I asked the staff for a little guidance on the menu. Instead of taking a moment to help us, they just handed over the menu in silence. One of the employees even laughed and pointed to the wall menu before walking away, which felt very dismissive.

After ordering, we sat at our table expecting to be served, especially since I had already tipped. But instead, they placed each item—drinks and desserts on the counter one by one, making us get up several times to collect everything ourselves. Only after I said something did one of them bring the final dessert to our table.

Throughout the visit, the staff seemed more interested in chatting and laughing with each other than taking care of customers. It felt careless and unprofessional, especially for a place with such high-quality desserts.

It’s unfortunate that a place with so much potential is being held back by such poor service. I hope the owners see this and take action—because with better staff training and customer care, this could be a...

I made a 45 minutes trip because of the good reviews on google, but actually it seems like his friends and family who give it the high positive reviews. The taste is ok (not wow), the place is clean, the service is ok as well but the price is very expensive!! I been to more than 15-20 places nationwide and this is so far the most expensive place I ever been to.
