Spent 10-15 minutes waiting for an employee to come and assist us with the locked cases and no one arrived. We decided to continue shopping and just request help with the few locked items at the check out counter when we finished. When we were checking out it was shortly before they closed and when we advised there was a couple items we wanted in the cases the woman told us “no, it’s too late!!”. Had we not spent 2 hours walking around and getting things we wanted we would.have told her to keep everything. We told her we waited several minutes earlier and no one arrived and she said “someone was over there” which was not true. No one was walking the locked booths, and then she admitted that the “bell service wasn’t working”!!! So we wait 15 minutes for no one, and she admits their bell system doesn’t even work yet there’s no signs posted to inform customers it’s not functioning and then she has the audacity to tell us NO to purchasing additional items because it was close to closing??? We bought $97 worth of items and left another $60 of items they didn’t want to sell us in the cases. It would have taken one of them 2 minutes to get the items. Not our fault that you do not make any announcements of pending closing time, nor was it our fault their system isn’t working. And to top it off they give us two flat boxes to carry our items (all glass/ breakable items) instead of one of the several true boxes they had. We don’t get this treatment at Ohio Valley, and there’s a reason Ohio Valley has more than 6 people shopping. Horrible service. But it’s not fair to the vendors their employees wish to deny sales in favor of leaving work. 2 minutes is all it would...
Read moreNewer antique mall that opened several years ago and anchors a large shopping center with hundreds of small spots for individual vendors to sell their wares. The mall is better than it was in previous trips but it still has some maturing to do since some larger booths were still empty and the display cases were largely not rented, currently housing sparse collections of filler items on consignment. A bit more like a flea market than an antique mall as it sits currently with lots of obvious reproductions and a whole wall of the mall filled with extremely ugly artwork and frames. A few antiques and some vintage items so my trip wasn't a waste despite being a bit disappointing in regards to the lack of quality antiques and collectables. There are a few good vendors including a gentleman that sells antique ephemera and postcards on one of the display towers in the middle of an aisle. I also enjoyed a booth that had some nice antique glassware, barrister bookcases, and art pottery. Staff was personable and eager to help, this mall largely needs to entice some better...
Read moreLove this newly-opened antique center! Definitely a hidden gem in the northern suburb of Cincinnati! Since it is so new, it is not getting enough attention yet as it deserves, but I'd really highly recommend this place to you. You should visit it at least once every month as new stuff keep coming up! Having been to many antique stores in the area, I regard it my favorite because of its newer facility, friendly staff and various rare items for an antique lover. I especially love the antique jewelry section where I could find stunning stuff that I cannot find anywhere else. They carry a lot of very cute and unique items for decoration of your home as well ...every time my friends and I visited there, we could always find something that could lighten up a room! They also have a big supply of oil painting for a very affordable price...just bought a couple and my friends cannot believe the price! I heard they will have auctions set up soon...really look...
