Sonora Grill Seafood Steak Bar & Grill — Restaurant in West Chester Township

Went on mother's Day and saw they had a sign for a Discount for mothers on mother's Day AND a $20 gift card to use next time. Super encouraging. The music is extremely loud in certain places so we chose to sit further away from the speaker(we are outside on the patio). Others came and also were choosing outside but finding somewhere away from the speaker. There was a little bit of a language barrier and had 1 food item mistake but it wasn't major(ordered guacamole and received guacamole fresco which was 5.99 more. Again not mad at it but not what I ordered.) Food came out extremely fast and hot and was absolutely amazing! Mixed drinks are dangerously perfect. Wide variety of drinks. Dining experience was great. The checking out part took the most time. Gave my card to a waitress and then proceeded to wait for 15 mins til I had to go inside and search for the waitress who got busy doing something else. Not entirely sure how their check out system works but definitely needs improvement. Was giving the Discount for the meal for mother's Day but they seemed a little aggravated when I asked about the gift card and was told the mother has to be present. I said she was already waiting in the car and then I just decided to go and had one lady come after me with the gift card but...

You're better off going to King Corona, Rancho Nuevo, or El Trompo.... All located with 2 miles....

Service was a hot mess. They say our group of four at a very large table and placed the chips and salsa at one end. We asked for a 2nd set for the other half of the table. Drinks came out, food order placed and 10-15 minutes goes by without the 2nd set of chips.

Eventually the first person's meal comes out. 2-3 minutes goes by, a 2nd meal comes out. Ask where the chips are and they proceed to take away the ones already at the table. Another 3-4 minutes goes by and the 3rd meal comes out. Then the chips come back for the half of the table that already had them. 10-15 minutes after the first person got their food, the final meal comes out. Half the table is now eating cold food.

During all of this, the waitress brought a helper to find out why we were upset about not getting the 2nd set of chips and the food being delivered slowly one at a time. Did that helped fix anything? Nope. She comes back with a 3rd person and tells us to tell them our issues. He nods and walks away, never to return.

Cold food, missing items, poor service and nothing comped.

They don't inform you of the mandatory 15% tip on orders over $100 which is...

This place is close to my office, so I decided to stop in for lunch one day. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality of this restaurant was higher than expected in appearance, service, and food.

The environment is clean and inviting. The staff is attentive and accommodating. I have been twice, once getting the Burrito Ahogado (pictured), and once getting the Burrito Chilango. I can say the quality of ingredients were great in both cases.

The Ahogado was outstanding, and the sauce was a great complement to the flavor of the filling. I will return for this one.

The cook of the chorizo in the Chilango was considerably overdone, and the textures of the various components of it didn't mix too well, but that is more my personal taste, likely. It had a lighter flavor than the Ahogado, but was still filling.
