If I could give this place zero stars, I most certainly would. I came up to the store today to grab a few items to take back with me out of town since I was in Chicago visiting family for the holidays. Chicken breast was one of the things that I wanted to grab before I left. The young black butcher guy told me I got a 10 pound bag of chicken breast for 20 dollars. To be honest, I was doubtful from the start but gave him the benefit of a doubt since I shopped up there before. He grabbed it, weighed it, and said it's actually 23 dollars. He then asked if I wanted him to remove one. I said yes. He tried to rip a chicken breast in half with his hands, and I noticed that the chicken breast had a weird texture. So I said my man's if the rest of that chicken look like that I don't want it. He kept ensuring me that the chicken was fine, so I carried on. A 120-miles later, this is what I have in my kitchen and what my kids help me painfully discard. The chicken brest was also foul-smelling. This is completely unacceptable and was done intentionally for a quick sell on bad meat. I will be reporting this company to the appropriate officials and authorities. GET THE WORD OUT!!!!!!!!!! Been shopping with them for about 4 years before they moved to Harrison I NEVER experience bad customer service or bad products from them but Monday I went to buy steak meat from them I literally stay 3 blocks from the store I went straight home got home to put away my meat the meat smells bad 👎 so I took it back to even get some more fresher meat or my money back the owner Nicholas gave me a hard time all I wanted was fresher meat or my money back. I first started shopping here when they were at the old location on Randolph and they were A1. It was clean inside and fresh but as soon as they moved everything changed. I have been to the Cicero location 3 times and the third was my last. Every single time it has had a terrible smell and it is very unsanitary. I see workers putting meat directly on the bloody scale without using papers or wiping it down and the chicken wings used to be small but now they are huge. I wish I could rate it less than 1 Star.
