Carolina Pottery is not considering the safety of their customers as our country trys to recover from COVID-19. I used a debit card to pay for my purchase, the reader at the register kept turning so I couldn't use my knuckle to confirm the amount or other things that I had to use the screen for so the cashier said to use the wand. I asked if they cl re an it after each h customer and she said yes so I used it. I used my pen to enter my passcode on the keypad. One person came to the register while I was being rung out. The cashier did NOT clean the wand and the next customer used it. When. I said something to her, she said I didn't have time. She wouldn't touch the reader in order to keep it from moving so I had to use the wand. She obviously didn't want to touch the equipment but didn't mind LYING and not doing her due diligence to keep customers safe. I told the manager and she said they only have to wipe it off if they have time. Well, thet have time to take your money but don't care about your safety. Is the assistant manager and she needs training on professionalism as well as communication and other customer service skills. I attempted to return an item with my receipt, I was unaware that this item could not be returned. I was told by the cashier upon purchasing as long as I kept my receipt the item could be returned. However, the assistant manager came up front with the rudest comments. She was practically yelling at the cashier as well as myself. I was calm as she was speaking so rudely.
