After working with Weinsteins, and in particular â sales rep, Jen Keaveney â we will not go anywhere else for our kitchen and bath needs.
We recently completed major overhauls of both our kitchen and large upstairs bath, and Jenâs guidance and support throughout - proved integral to our overall happiness with the outcomes.
To touch on the obvious points of feedback first â (1) Weinsteinâs showroom is beautiful. Itâs always current, displaying the most on-trend designs, while also providing options at various budget points; (2) Their products are top-notch and built to last. After many years and failed experiences purchasing from big-box stores, only to have to replace faulty products within a couple of years⌠the investment in quality plumbing infrastructure and fixtures has proven itself time & time again â in saving money in the long run.
Those items aside â what makes Weinsteins my âgo-toâ is their incredibly knowledgeable staff & their customer-first business practices. Our family is THRILLED with the outcome of our kitchen and bath renovations â and Jen proved to be an integral part of the success of both. I can honestly say â major design & product mistakes & omissions would have occurred â had Jen not partnered with us throughout (and this was even with working with a top notch builder).
She finds and creates solutions to make your visions come to life. As examples â after feeling frustrated that our new Thermador refrigerator did not come with a built-in, drinking water filtration system â Jen came up with the option of a separate, chilled & filtered drinking-water faucet & line â directly on our sink. This was a particularly tall-order to implement though, as we also needed the core system to work with the other plumbing fixtures already selected. Jen scoured her sources and found us two universal chilling/filtration systems â with infrastructure that would work with our selected Brio fixtures (and worked with her Plumbing Supply manager to confirm the solution's success with confidence). She provided a further design optimization solution in suggesting to our contractor that they install the base filtration unit on a shelf in the basement - to ensure we still had plenty of usable storage space in our under-sink cabinetry. Our builder, himself, was so impressed with the complete solution â that he later opted to install it in his own familyâs home.
As another example of Jenâs above and beyond design knowledge and expertise â her guidance ultimately led us to revamping the already set layout of our shower and entire bathroom. While picking the fixtures themselves, Jen questioned some of the details in the design â which led us to realizing that we ultimately had a less-then ideal design & were not optimizing the space to itâs best potential; (And again â this was while working with a top-end builder who we equally respect and will always work with.) Jen just has a level of knowledge and expertise in the kitchen and bath space that is so valuable to any renovation project; And she goes above and beyond just âsellingâ â to really helping you create solutions that ultimately make your finished projects the best they can be.
As a last point of feedback, all major renovations come with some issues. In the one instance where we had an issue with the plumbing hardware, several months after the kitchen was complete â Jen and the Weinsteinâs team managed it with a very customer-first focus. They provided a replacement product within days, and managed all of the backend warranty details with the manufacturer directly - not requiring our involvement in any part. It was a seamless and painless fix.

   Read moreI live a ways away from the West Chester branch of Weinsteinâs and so I decided to spec out my bathroom via the Kohler and Moen websites first, then see if they could order the merchandise for me. I originally reached out to a couple of local suppliers via their websites, but Weinsteinâs was the only place to follow-up with me.
Jennifer K. called me the next business day and was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Originally, I was just going to order my Kohler products from Weinsteinâs, but she told me she could do the whole thing for all of the manufacturers I had selected for my bathroom remodel. And so with very little fuss and on a tight timeline, I ordered several custom Kohler pieces and all the Moen fixtures I wanted as well. Jennifer also kept me up to date with status too so I always had a handle on when the items would be in so that I could coordinate my contractor and the tile installation.
As it would turn out, I had the contractor from (heck). Although I had paid for delivery, the custom shower base needed to come sooner and Jennifer made sure I was able to take it from the warehouse. They actually were able to load the 245-pound cast iron base into the back of my Subaru Outback with a forklift and did not damage whatsoever (a small miracle as far as Iâm concerned). When the contractor broke one of the custom Kohler glass doors during the install and tried to hide it from me (donât ask!) I fired him. And then I turned to Jennifer to help me figure out how to get the replacement glass and hardware Iâd needed. All of which she helped me do. She took some info from me, contacted Kohler, and called me back within an hour to tell me that all was on order, where it would be delivered, set my expectations about turn-around times, and expressed genuine empathy for the headaches I had to go through.

   Read moreGo to Ferguson instead. Upon arriving at our appointment the sales lady introduced herself and shook my husbandâs hand. She completely ignored me and only spoke directly to him. The whole visit was uncomfortable, she rushed us in our decisions, didnât allow us to browse, etc. Upon picking our items she told us in a few days sheâd send an invoice with price, timing etc. Unsure why we couldnât be told prices on the spot, she was carrying an iPad and scanning the products. She also let us know we wouldnât be able to get the tub anytime soon. The next day we ordered the exact same products from Ferguson and they were delivered within 3 days!
