The blonde/ginger older employee with bangs at Tech Services (and no nametag) was INCREDIBLY rude. First off, I came in with a box of old tech to recycle: motherboard, a hard drive, and a CPU from upgrading my computer. She took one look, pointed toward the shipping center, and barked out "go". ?????
Of course the lady at that counter (glasses, blonde bob, much nicer) told me I did in fact have to go to Tech Services. How hard would it have been for Tech Services lady to ask a question and help me instead of making an assumption?
I made my way back. Tech lady glared at me and said nothing. I had the motherboard in a box so that it could be recycled safely and undamaged (the recycling "receptacle" is a old, dirty shopping cart, by the way). Tech lady said "What's in the box?" and when I replied, "A motherboard", she said "Just take it out and put the box beneath."
A working, delicate motherboard laid bare on a dirty shopping cart!!! What???
No greeting, no please, no thank you, not even a smile, I doubt she knew a single thing about motherboards, and she ignored me when I left.
Good lord. I have zero confidence that my stuff will actually be recycled. Undoubtedly that greasy shopping cart will be emptied into a landfill or the tech will be made unusable. How this person got a job there, I don't know, because the customer service...
Read moreI am only giving 2 stars for the cleanliness and availability of products. I came here because Amazon started directing me to a Staples location for returns. QUICK NOTE: THE STORE WAS NOT CROWDED, THEY WERE NOT BUSY! I would have understood if they were overwhelmed or stressed, but that didn't seem to be the case.
I stood at the Amazon returns section for a good couple minutes, the employee was in the back. No big deal. He came out and didn't make eye contact with me, short spoken and I said hello he didn't say anything back. Whatever, no big deal. As long as he does his job. I decided to buy something from the store and went to the front to checkout. A woman was returning something and the guy seemed very dismissive. He had a broken arm, so maybe that added to it? An elderly man came in to ask if they saw his phone and the cashier seemed annoyed while saying 'no'. After he was done serving the woman, he shoved her package to the side as I came up to checkout, but at least this employee told me to have a good day while sounding defeated. I don't know what's wrong with the employees here but everyone just seemed miserable. I hope this was just a bad day...
Read moreMy recent visit to the Staples location this Sunday July 9th, was incredibly underwhelming and left me feeling frustrated. I needed to print a simple one-page document on a Sunday, but much to my dismay, they flat out refused to assist me. This experience highlighted the store's lack of professionalism, particularly the rude behavior exhibited by their staff members.
Let me emphasize that the employees at this specific Staples location were not busy with other tasks or customers when I approached them. Despite this, they callously turned down my request to print the document, with an unwarranted mean-spiritedness. It felt as though I was imposing on them by simply asking for their help, which left me both shocked and disheartened as a customer.
In contrast, the Exton location, which is a bit farther away, has consistently provided me with positive experiences. The staff there is friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with my printing needs. I have never encountered any excuses or unpleasant behavior from them, and their commitment to service is reflected in the smiles on...
