Incompetence is the best descriptor for this store. I have been here only a handful of times in the last 5 weeks since itās been open. Usually I do drive up service. At least twice I have had issues there. Couple weeks ago, I placed an order the evening before and planned to pick up the next day. It was supposed to be ready within a 2 hour window so they had plenty of time. Next day Iām looking at the app and my order is still in process. I called and spoke to someone named Christine or Christina not sure. She said my order was ready but there was some sort of issue so I would have to come into the store to pick it up. So as I am driving there to pick it up I look at the app and it shows me as having already picked up my order. I got there, went into the store (which should not have been since I placed a drive up order) and had to explain the issue to someone else. I eventually got my items, one of which was a 16 lb bag of cat food which I then had to carry on my shoulder out to my car. Given they screwed up, the right thing to do would have been to either take it out to my car for me or at the very least put it in a cart for me. The thought never crossed any of their minds.
Now today I go pick up a drove thru order - surely that last time was a fluke - only to unpack my order when I got home and two of the items are missing. I needed those items to start making dinner for my family. So then I had to go out again, this time to a grocery store, and get the items that I needed that they someone failed to give me.
These issues arenāt system issues or trying to get used to a new job. These issues are poor customer service and not caring about your job.
Needless to say, Iāll go to another Target store thatās farther away where Iāve never had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis particular Target store (Paoli Pike in West Chester PA) is the worst one I've ever been to. I can understand that a new store might not have everything put together perfectly, BUT I don't understand rude and difficult workers. The workers at this store (at least the ones I encountered) were unfriendly and rude and difficult. If the high level people at Target are reading this, you can see it yourself if you go to this store as a secret shopper. Another issue is that the Target people running this store and working there have put so many carts inside the entrance/exit area that it's difficult for customers and anyone else to get in or out. It's clearly a FIRE CODE VIOLATION, and needs to be dealt with before there's a disaster. Such a problem (having carts blocking the ingress and egress) should never occur unless the management is lacking in all common sense. I will NOT go back to this store unless and until I heard that there were major improvements. I would caution any other members of the public from going to this Target store. Side note: I am generally a fan of Target stores, but I cannot endorse this particular...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday was the third time we've been to the new Target and we love it. We are huge Target fans anyway, so having one close to home is extra awesome. This Target finally fills the gaping hole that KMart left after Covid. That alone is a huge win. The floors are not bad. The parking is honestly not badāthere's plenty of parking in the back. And this Target is the least anxiety-inducing of all the options nearby. It might be the lighting? It is definitely a bit on the duller/dimmer side, but that kind of adds to the chill atmosphere. The employees have all been nice and welcoming and today, as we utilized the self checkout, one employee was posting signs regarding the canvas Target bags that are free with purchase. I assumed (cynical?) she was adding a charge per bag; instead, she was posting signs to remind us that they are still free. Yay for the little things. And for all you anti-Target peeps, as a single mom, I have found that Target is the most affordable paper goods retailer around. Plus it's about time West Chester had a decent store to buy everything you need....
