Wasnât satisfied with their charges for a shirt dress to be clean $25.00 and charged $2.,50 for the belt. This was my third visit, and mostly likely my last due to the fact, that I gave the young lady two wooden hangers, because I do not like my clothes on wire hangers. Upon receipt my white blouse and shirt dress was on wire hangers. Not happy with one of the young ladies services, upon taking my white shirt and shirt dress, I asked her how much would it cost to have my shirt dress cleaned, she could not answer my questions, I got tired of her typing on the computer to check what, I have no idea,. However, there is one young lady who is always pleasant and dressed professionally without sweat pants or looking as if she just rolled out of bed and wore whatever was convenient. She stepped in to help with the retrieving my wooden hangers when I asked the other young girl who was again dressed as if she rolled out of bed with locating my hangers. After trying to locate the hangers, I told the professional looking young lady, not to worry about it, I have more wooden hangers. Your manager, John is always a pleasure, the young girl who always looks professional is excellent and know your business and able to make decisions without keeping you waiting for long period of times. Unfortunately I can not say that about the other young lady who when I was in your establishment that took my order was not the same. Being disheveled.and not able to answer how much is it going to be to have a shirt dress cleaned is not knowing your product or company that you are representing. Will I try Frenchs Cleaners again, never say never. Until we meet again: Stay Well and Safe! Katherine Peacock...
Read moreVery disappointed. I have been a long time customer of French cleaners and felt I could trust them with my clothing items. I recently purchased a dress at the end of January for my brothers wedding. I tried it on with a ripped cuticle and got tiny marks of blood on it. I did some blotting and got some stains out but was fearful of how I might damage the the fabric so I brought it to Frenchâs thinking I could trust them to handle it. When I picked up the dress I was disappointed to see the water marks of where they clearly attempted to treat the stain. There is discoloration to the fabric in areas and worst of all it definitely shrunk (Iâve suspected theyâve been shrinking some sweaters and this confirms for me). You can see the seams of the lining through the dress which no longer line up with the outside fabric seams. I have never worn this $600 Cushnie Et Ochs dress- which you can no longer get. In my opinion the dress came back in worse condition than I gave it to them. I would have rather kept and worn the dress with the blood stains then what they returned to me. When I called (15 minutes after picking up) to discuss the dress, I spoke with manager we agreed I would return with the dress the following afternoon to figure out what could be done. When I got there he was conveniently gone for the day and all they suggested was leaving it there. Iâm sorry-forgive me for my lack of faith-but no Iâm not leaving my dress with you with zero answer of how they plan to fix the issues and for you to continue shrinking it. Plan to return tomorrow to address this and hopefully the manager is there....
Read moreLong story short, I regret taking my wedding dress here. My gown is nearly 50 years old vintage and very delicate and this is clearly not the place for those kinds of garments.
Partner picked up his suit 2 or 3 days after drop off and they told him they did not clean my dress because there were a few small holes in the voluminous netting. This is something the seamstress noted and said it would be more obvious if we tried to fix it so we left it alone. The clerk had my partner call me to confirm I knew there were holes which we both found odd. This information could easily have been confirmed via phone.
When I get the dress back I see it has been treated quite roughly with the netting on the bodice moved to the back and the sash lifted up above the belt. Some stitches had even been torn out in order to accomplish all this netting moving around, luckily not anything I couldnât fix. The velvet hanger and bag we sent with it were replaced with a cheap wire hanger and it actually almost fell on the ground as my partner was bringing it in from the car because they did not tie the bottom of the bag :( Not what I would expect from a high end cleaners.
Probably fine as a workaday place as they cleaned my partnerâs off the rack suit well, but if you have a special piece in need of a little TLC choose...
