Fun fact: this location is where I did my first ever escape room. 30+ rooms later, we've come back, and I’ve got nothing but good things to say. This time around we did the “Operation: End of Days” escape room . The atmosphere of the room is awesome, including the fact that there are no physical locks in the room (all electronic) and the puzzles were all great, and didn’t feel frustrating to solve in the slightest - and of course you have the option for hints and “nudges” in case you need. Our puzzle master Kaleb was chill, super cool, and great at giving us hints when we needed and otherwise just letting us do our thing.
I will say nothing is ever perfect, so here is a few things I think could be improved/suggestions for anyone interested in this room: after each puzzle completion there is a little pause where there is some sort of audio and lighting cue that takes a few seconds. While thematically cool, It shaves off just a bit of time from the clock. You know every second counts when you want that record time! this room is probably best for smaller groups or partners. We completed it with only 2 people, and that felt just right considering most of the puzzles were “partner puzzles” where two people needed to communicate in order to solve the puzzle (our puzzle master Kaleb did warn us that communication was key!) but I could imagine that having multiple people in the room could be frustrating for some, since there might be some people waiting around for the next thing to be unlocked as the room also was mostly linear, at least it felt like. I might be wrong on that considering my experience was only two people, we just usually have anywhere from 3-5 people and I was feeling pretty glad that we only had two in this instance.
Overall, this room was amazing. This location makes great rooms, and seeing some of the ones I’ve done since, I am so glad they were my first experience and they’ve kept up their quality. It makes me more excited for when they get their next room, and trust me, I’ll be...
Read moreAs a first time Escape Room participant who decided to book the hardest one (the submarine escape room) for her fiancé’s birthday with his family…IT WAS A BLAST!!!! Out of the six of us, only 2 had done an Escape Room at Mission Escape Games before. I already want to go back next weekend!! Zach was an awesome Escape Master who was charismatic, informative, fun, and really showed a passion for his work. You may feel alone when you are in the room but you are not. Zach was right there typing on the screen encouraging words and tiny nudges and hints when we were VERY close to solving one of the puzzles and just needed some extra support. For bigger hints the whole group has to agree to accept the hint before given. We used that once towards the end just because time was almost up and we were determined to finish the hardest one as first timers! But even if we didn’t get out on time, it still would have been a super fun and interactive experience I would want to do again. They even had a sign for my fiancé to hold that said Happy Birthday and we were able to take pictures in the room all holding props. 10/10...
Read moreLast night, was me & my fiancé first time ever doing an escape room. I’d want to give thanks to Cheris for helping calming down my fiancé & helping decrease her anxiety. If it weren’t for Cheris, I don’t believe my fiancé would’ve been able to go through with it, but, she did & she actually enjoyed it. I myself, was okay given that I love puzzles & love escape room games. We both enjoyed our time & will DEFINITELY be back to complete the other rooms. Before we could even leave the building, I told me fiancé I wanted to come back the next day lol. The puzzles themselves, without any nudges, I’d give about a 8 to 9 on a difficulty level. Cheris was helpful through out the entire session. You just really have to LOOK & pay attention to every thing that’s around you. For example, we were stuck on one puzzle, but my fiancé took a wild lucky guess & solved the puzzle. I then realized, I didn’t see that I had left a part of the puzzle behind which is what made us be stuck on the puzzle. If you’re into puzzles or would just want to try something to test your brain, DEFINITELY give this...
