Went to do a phone sale for a customer of mine at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, was absolutely no one working the window section or anyone available to get a window down for me. The $600 window I was looking to purchase had one unit on the floor that had no packaging, a hole and rip in the screen, and broken, shattered and missing sections of the window flange. Making it completely unusable for installation. I was assured that they had other units up top (despite no one physically being available to confirm that) at the customer service desk. That since I needed to do the phone sale then, but didn't need to pick the window up until Saturday morning, that they would have a proper usable window down, loaded and ready for me to pick up. When I get there Saturday morning, the broken, unpackaged ripped screen window is on a cart behind a bunch of pallets. Ready for me to pick it up. The fact that anyone with eyes could look at that unit and think it's acceptable to try and sell to a customer for $600 is absolutely outrageous and comical. Again, as the ripped screen aside, the broken and missing flange sections make the unit unusable for installation altogether. After another hour long fiasco, and then infact not having another unit like that one in stock. The only option was to refund the customer on their card. Not able to give me a gift card so I could just go to another location, or just send the order over to another Home Depot. At this point the customer of mine is too busy to keep going through these hoops with me to do yet another phone sale, and asked to cancel me doing the project. Costing me two, hour long trips to Home Depot, and costing my business a $750 project. Had they been able to just tell me that was the only unit they had available (The one that's unfit for sale or installation) I could have just went Thursday to another Home Depot and made the customers purchase there. What a horrible way to run a business, costing the contractors that bring you extremely high dollar business every year, business...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe manager, John, went over and beyond to make sure my daughter and I had an amazing Christmas.
I had finally broken down and ordered a replacement Christmas tree, for the one we had as a family for seven years..
This was to be our first new tree since my husband/her dad passed away (in 2016). She took her time picking it out and we ordered it from Home Depot, for $100..
What arrived was a hot mess, it looked like it was made from birthday party streamers, and the star was broken.
I contacted the Home Depot on New Haven Ave, in West Melbourne. They told me to bring it in for a refund, they couldn't guaranteed exchange because they did not have many left.
While the refund was processing, I asked to speak to the store manager. After explaining to him, that I knew that this wasn't a problem stemming from his store, but that I was surprised in getting something of this quality from Home Depot. He agreed that the tree was subpar.
I asked him if there was a possibility of getting a floor model and hopes of getting a decent tree at a good price..
He walked around the entire tree section ⨠patiently⨠with my (eight year old) daughter as she went tree to tree changing her mind.. She finally decided on one..
He picked up a new, boxed tree and put it in a shopping cart, and told us, it's yours, Merry Christmas..
I honestly cried, and tried to get him to at least let me pay what they had just refunded. He refused, and asked my daughter for a favor. He simply wanted her to return with a picture of the decorated tree š³ š
I am still in shock, and was trying to figure out where to share this amazing manager.. if you get the chance, definitely go to this Home Depot.
The pictures are of the new tree, the old tree, and John, the amazing compassionate human being from my...

I made sure to make reservation for the blowing machine and gave them a $250 deposit for them to hold The machine blowin and Larry from Rental was not only rude acting like I was bothering him and he was too good to help me gave me attitude the whole time.I said weāre not gonna have a problem with having my contractor pick this up when he can tomorrow right and Larry said Word for Word yeah weāve got three machines Iāll tag one for you no problem you donāt have to come back to the store. I received a call from my contractor trying to pick up the blowing machine and was unable to because the reservation had expired and they refunded my 250 back to my card but itās not back to my card for 3 to 5 days so I get a phone call saying I need to come down there and swipe my card again so my guys can pick up the machine and come do the job. Oh I specifically went out of my way to make sure that everything was lined up for what I needed done and Home Depot let me down not in just one department butt in two costing over $125 I would say that this is the worst customer service that Iāve ever received at a retail facility in Brevard County.I will be filing a corporate complaint looking for compensation for my inconveniences and my losses not only of my time but my contractors time. Time is money money is valuable being told sorry I canāt help you does not help and isnāt good enough I would like a call from the store manager with a resolution to my...
