Updated 24 Oct 2021 - got the Gussepie panini, another fantastic veggie panini featuring fried (to perfection) eggplant. I think it's great you have at least two very good vegetarian choices. My wife had the Italiano panini and my mother in law had a HUGE meatball sub. The staff are very friendly and are very attentive. You need to try this hidden little NY DELI asap! It is my go to for sandwiches and my wife LOVES the Tierra misu... Updated 16 Sep 2021 - ate here today and got the veggie Italiano panini...fantastic (fried eggplant, roasted red peppers, mozzarella fresh greens)...pressed perfectly and delicious! I had read very good reviews about this place on Google Maps so decided to try it (take-out). I ordered the Italiano (by accident, really meant to order the veggie Italiano), and it was absolutely fantastic, even though I didn't intent to get meat. The panini press made the focaccia bread taste perfect, and the blend of Boars Head meats, salad, and dressing was perfect. Really reminded me of when I was stationed up in central New York, in the city of Rome, where you got sandwiches just like this. If you want a real central NY style deli sandwich, DO NOT pass up this place. My wife got the eggplant parmigiana dinner and it was such a big amount of high quality food that she was commenting on every bite how good it was. I tasted both the eggplant and the spaghetti and it was delicious. The prices are extremely reasonable, and this is a new Go To place for us here in Melbourne...hats off to Frankies...
Read moreWe stopped here on a whim today when driving on 192. The second we entered it smelled like an authentic Italian deli. We ordered chicken cutlet sandwiches and some desserts. My 14 year old, the sandwich king, is pretty picky and critical about his sandwiches. He hasn't had a true chix cutlet sandwich since we left New York 4 years ago. It was like biting into our past. It tasted like little Italy. The bread was crispy and soft. The cutlet was done to perfection. Even the mixed greens on top were amazing...my child who had never eaten an onion in his life said they were "full of flavor". We loved our sandwiches. The best part was the Italian rainbow cake. We have vetted every bakery, every supposed Italian eatery, speciality store, etc searching for Italian rainbow cookies/cake. When we entered there were 3 slices. We ordered two. When my son smelled the cake I got a smile that most teenage boys hide under their tough exteriors. His first bite literally made him stand up and walk in a circle. I haven't seen him this happy since he was 4 and he opened up a talking tonka truck on Christmas morning. Best part to add to the pure joy was Andrea Bocellis “Por ti volare" was playing (song from end of stepbrothers). I didn't even speak, I went and bought the last slice. We have found our spot. The one place I know he'll never say no to. The one singular place that will light up his face and I'll see his smile when mentioned. Everything here is heavenly. It's....perfect. The happiness it brought us is priceless. Thank you...
Read moreItalian deli with some delicious foods and generous portions. Not only do they serve sandwiches, paninis, wood fired pizza, but they do sell gelato and have assorted Italian desserts available for sale. The Frankie's special was delicious, a 9 inch sub with prosciutto, ham, mortadella, Genoa, provolone, spring mix, tomato, onion, roasted red pepper, giardiniera and dressing. Lots of flavors brought together for a very tasty sandwich. The only down side I had about the sandwich was there were quite a bit of oils so napkins are definitely a must. The Italiano Panini included, ham, Genoa, Cappy, spring mix, tomatoes, onions, roasted red peppers, artichokes, and dressing, along with the chips. The mozzarella sticks are homemade and quite cheesy, as they are made to order. The garlic bread is very plain but heavy on the garlic and cheese but is the way I prefer. Ended up trying some of the cookies and cake that they offer and it brought some good flavors, however the tiramisu tasted a little dry. Overall, not a bad place, definitely want to come back and...
