I recently had a very disappointing experience with Caprittaâs appliance repair service. About two weeks ago, I contacted them because my ice maker had stopped working. They informed me there would be a $179 service fee for the visit, which could be deducted from the cost of any necessary repair. That sounded fair to me.
When the technician arrived, he managed to get the ice maker turned on again and then left pretty quickly without confirming if it was actually producing ice. Unfortunately, after he left, the machine still wasnât making any ice at all.
A few days later, I called Caprita again to let them know that the problem wasnât resolved. Thatâs when things got frustrating. The representative told me that if the technician had to come out again, it would be another $179 fee, even though they had initially told me there was a period during which they would come back to check the repair at no extra charge. The representative insisted that this was a âdifferent problemâ and that Iâd have to pay again.
After being transferred to a supervisor, I was told very bluntly that the issue was supposedly an $800 motherboard replacement. They wanted me to pay upfront before the technician would come back. I questioned how they could be sure it was the motherboard when the initial issue hadnât even been properly diagnosed. The supervisor basically said, âIt is what it is,â and pushed me to pay.
In the end, I declined and called another technician from a different company. This new technician found that the problem was just a simple setting adjustment. Now my ice maker is working perfectly without any expensive parts.
In summary, I canât recommend Capritta. They were not transparent, tried to charge me for unnecessary repairs, and ultimately didnât solve the problem. I had a much better experience with another service that actually fixed the issue for...
Read moreI am beyond frustrated with the lack of professionalism and service from this company. We own a six-burner KitchenAid range that has been malfunctioning. It wonât heat properly and gets stuck at random temperatures like 276 or 323 degrees, refusing to go higher. From the very first service appointment, I clearly explained the issue and also mentioned that the oven door was broken. I asked if the door could be fixed and was told that the part was no longer available.
Fast forward through six service visits and over $800 spent, and the issue still isnât resolved. To add insult to injury, the most recent technician informed me that the problem is likely due to the door not closing properly. Something I explicitly pointed out during the very first visit. This is completely unacceptable.
Not only have I been charged an exorbitant amount for a repair that remains incomplete, but the company has also wasted my time and demonstrated an astounding lack of communication and accountability. If the door was identified as the root cause from the beginning, why was this not addressed sooner? Instead, Iâve been strung along, out hundreds of dollars, and still left with a malfunctioning oven.
This company has failed to deliver on their basic responsibility to fix the issue they were hired for. I feel taken advantage of, and their unwillingness to resolve this situation or even communicate effectively shows a complete disregard for their customers. At this point, Iâm left with a broken appliance and a deep sense of frustration over their negligence. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy.
My husband purchased the part needed to fix the oven door, which was a little over $100 and repaired our oven himself by watching YouTube. Several months of this company being in our home over six times and over $800 later and my...
Read moreThe rudeness of their office staff is awful, I donât normally write bad reviews but just how I took the time to wait for almost 3 hours for a tech that never showed up, taking time off of work to just received a call and then over the phone be able to diagnose our issue, said he will order a part and come back next week. (Why then the appointment if the techs are now able to diagnose an issue with the appliance without looking at it?)
Two weeks later, called the office to get an update and all I got was a rude lady saying they do not have the âtime to update customer dailyâ sarcastic much? that she is sure the tech just got caught up on a job and that is why he didnât show up. And that they have not called me back simply because the part has not arrive, that again they do not call nor update anyone until the parts have arrive. Ohhh and that the part requested is the only way to fix it, again without even inspecting it.
Ok, sorry somehow I am the unreasonable one that had to take time off of work to seat at home and wait for a tech that never showed up, still with a broken appliance and has not heard back from anyone in two weeks, after I was told they will be back in less than a week!
In the mean time, I have water still leaking, brand new cabinets damaged, and somehow I have to keep waiting for them to get a part to fix it, and they have to look at my cabinets to make sure it was damaged by the water coming from appliance, in the mean time I am just supposed to seat here and wait. Hoping no mold or more damage comes out of it.
Calling Samsung directly to see if I get...
