I recently visited Emm Nails and Lash with my sister after finding the salon online. It had great reviews, so we decided to make an appointment. I arrived at 4:20 PM and didn’t leave until 7:50 PM, which was much longer than expected.

The salon itself is beautiful inside, and they offer complimentary drinks—though I wasn’t offered one during my visit, despite being there for hours and feeling thirsty.

The service started with a pedicure. I asked for a gel French tip, and while the nail tech started off well, she struggled with the white French tip design. I explained how I wanted it and trusted the process, but she couldn’t get it right. Another nail tech eventually stepped in and fixed it to my liking. While I was happy with the final result, the pedicure took over an hour and cost $55. I’d rate it 6/10—good results, but the process took far too long.

After my pedicure, I waited about 30 minutes to start my nails. I asked for builder gel ($75), design ($10), and tips for two broken nails ($5 each). I also believe they charged $15 for polish removal, which was likely added to my total. This all supposedly added up to $120, which they claimed was a discounted price. I showed my nail tech a reference photo and explained I wanted it to look exactly like the picture. He reassured me he could do it, so I trusted him.

However, as he worked, I noticed the designs weren’t matching the reference photo. I pointed it out toward the end, but he brushed off my concerns and applied the top coat to finish. I understand I chose the design, but what’s on my fingers is nowhere near the picture I showed. My nails look like a mix of spring, fall, Christmas, and ladybugs—a little bit of everything except what I asked for. It’s very disappointing.

Another nail tech asked if I liked my nails, and I was honest. I told them I only liked three out of the five fingers on one hand. I showed the reference photo again and explained the designs didn’t match. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, I was told I should have said something earlier. I trusted the process, as I was told to, so this response felt dismissive and frustrating.

Honestly, I realize I need to do better at speaking up and defending my money. It was late, and I didn’t want to start any drama or cause a commotion, but in hindsight, I should’ve been more assertive. I’d love for the salon to reach out and offer a proper discount or make this right, but I doubt they will since the service was technically provided.

I didn’t expect perfection, but I expected my nail tech to try his best. Unfortunately, the quality of my nails was disappointing, and for $120 (not including the $55 for my pedicure), I expected much more care and attention to detail. While I appreciate the effort, my nails are a 3/10 at best, and I’m actually going to another salon today to have them redone.

Despite my dissatisfaction, I still left a $15 tip because I know the work is not easy, but I won’t be returning. My experience felt rushed, dismissive, and overpriced.

I’ve been coming to this nail salon for the past several months and overall, it’s a lovely space — very clean, modern, and relaxing. They even have a cocktail bar, which adds a fun touch, though I’ve yet to actually be offered a drink during any of my visits.

I usually spend around $140 for a natural nail dip and a basic pedicure with gel polish. Sydney does an excellent job with dip — very clean, long-lasting work. The salon has a decent selection of dip colors, though the matching polish options don’t quite line up, which can be a little frustrating when trying to coordinate hands and feet.

My main issue — and the one thing that might eventually push me to look elsewhere — is the way appointments are handled. I’ll book my dip with Sydney and a pedicure with Bella at the same time, only to arrive and find the schedule has changed. Either the services can’t be done at the same time, or I’m placed with different technicians altogether. As a loyal client, it’s frustrating to make appointments in advance and not have them honored — both the time and the person I booked with should be respected. If the booking system can’t guarantee that, It shouldn’t exists.

That said, the quality of the work keeps me coming back — especially for Sydney’s work — and I do appreciate the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of the space. I just hope the...

Spent over 3 hours to get a manicure and a pedicure there were lots of people that came and went but for some reason my tech how to keep stopping and abandoning his work with me to take care of everybody else let's just say my right hand is bigger than my left hand on at least two of my nails I also was charged for services that were supposed to be included 🤯 like trimming my cuticles 😳 Not sure the what's going on but I was a customer too Even the lady next to me ask my tech to get her something to drink and I had to ask him for something cuz he wasn't even going to get that courtesy I just want to say I had a lot of patience and they dropped the ball many times I did drive 55 miles to get to this location +++Update that is not true I even called before driving there and asked how much it was for a gel pedicure and acrylic nails with gel polish was quoted $105. I never changed anything. For some reason I couldn't be given the swatch books. I almost thought she wasn't giving me my nails. And to top it all off first time customer discount. So please don't tell me that I changed anything. Because that's not true at all And I don't know where you're getting that I was just asked if I wanted anything to drink because nobody had asked me and I literally had to ask to do you mind getting me a Sprite which you didn't have so I graciously...
