I kept waiting to see if it was just me and that things would change before I gave a review.
First offâŠ..The food here to me is exceptionally delicious!
In all the years of coming here since 2013 to now. Whether it was the old or now new management the food has always been exceptional. I have zero complaints about the food and would recommend it highly for taste and being well prepared.
Now with that aside!
The price has become insane and they even have the nerve to give you an option to give them a tip on their pay machine, after already over charging their customers.
And do youâll see that little bit of food below in the photo and their menu that says what the meats are served with? Well today, again, I paid an outrageous $34 for that little bit of food below and got none of the additional sides that the meats are suppose to come with and this is not the first time in the last couple of months that this has happened.
They also took away the price for the small Roti they serve which use to be $2.50 each. And folks please donât even bother asking what is the cost of their roti because the only answer you will get is that, âwe donât serve roti by it selfâ.
I donât know why this establishment has decided to price gouge and punish their customers when we are supporting them by giving them our...
Read moreSo we ordered six plates from dumplings. three out of the six orders is actually part of a lunch special but we were charged for price, I noticed they had a lunch special when I got there, I asked about the lunch special and why she didn't mention it to my client on the phone when he was ordering for him and his family, her first response was it's from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00, I responded with well it just hit too and we ordered at 1:30 p.m., and she repeated it's from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and I repeated well it just hit 2:00, now her reason why is that we didn't ask for the lunch special. I know all Jamaican restaurants that I've went to or called into will be like would you like the lunch special or regular. I guess not this one. She had an attitude from the first call, aggravated, but it happens and that's what comes with the job. Now if she didn't have an attitude she would have known that my client kept repeating he's a quadriplegic, and has a trach, so he could not speak loud enough. I asked my client to pass me the phone but he likes to feel some sort of Independence. So to all restaurant workers keep in mind you don't know who's calling in but not only that be a worker do your job and throw out there what specials you actually do have. First and last time we will...
Read moreMy partner and I found this restaurant after shopping nearby. We ordered a small curry goat that came with vegetables, rice and peas, a brown stew chicken that came with vegetables and rices and peas, a slice of pineapple upside down cake and a vitamalt. They do not serve alcohol which is okay, but they did allow us to go next door and purchase alcohol to dine in with our meal. The food looked delicious, but when I opened my plate, I could immediately tell that the vegetables were sour like it had been sitting out. It gave the plate a weird smell and my partners plate smelled the same also. We ate around the cabbage but still somehow ended up with stomach aches and diarrhea. We live about an hour away so we spent the next 45 mins in a Nordstrom Rack restroom. We should have complained about the smell but we figured since the smell was only from the cabbage that we would be fine. FAIL. We won't be back to this restaurant simply because the food was old and made us sick. Im literally writing this review in the fetal position laying in bed. Anyway, the pineapple upside down cake was good and paired well with my coconut ice cream I...
