What a terrible experience it was. My cousin and I went to this restaurant to have nice meal. Saw good reviews so didn't think twice about coming to this restaurant. As we entered, we were amazed. Beautiful ambience and clean restaurant. I ordered a drink during the happy hour. On the menu it says 2 for 1 which to me is that I get 2 drinks for the price of one but the waiter refused and said, "no sir, you'll have to order 2 drinks to get one free." I immediately told him no, I'll just have one drink. Then we ordered appetizer and main course. Food came out pretty fast because it was not busy. We ordered gobi manchurian as an appetizer, and makhani Daal and malai Kofta as main course. I ordered tandoori roti which was nice and my cousin ordered Naan, which he was totally disappointed with. He said it tasted like pita bread, and too thick. Then we tasted the appetizer and the entrées. Gobhi manchurian was okay, daal was delicious but the malai Kofta was awfully sweet. Then I told the food runner, the kofta tasted so sweet. He goes to me, with a very thug-Ish attitude, that's how they make it. No apologies, no concern, with a very straight face he said that to me. I'm like okay then. Then the waiter approaches the table asking if everything was okay, then I told him about what had happened. He quickly went on to change it and said this is a usual recipe but don't worry we will fix it. I even said it's totally fine, and didn't want it at all. But he goes don't worry we will fix it. Then he brings a different one which was a lot better than the one before. The other thing I saw was that there were 6 floor staff members including the food runner. Except for 2 of the ladies, the other staff was very very unprofessional and rude. The way they were talking and laughing. It seemed like it's their hanging out spot. Then comes the check, which was $100. Yes, believe it. They had added a drink that I had never ordered. Then they went to go "fix" it. I'm from New York, and I've been to so many fancy places and not once my bill came out to that much. $90 for 2 people is just a rip off. And not to mention the amount of food that was left over. I don't think I'll be going to Palm Beach soon, but whenever I will, I'll make sure not to go here. I'd rather stick with...
Read moreWhere do I begin about Indus? There're so many things that I love about this place. This is our go to "date-night" hot spot. It's never over crowded to where you can't hear one another. The service is always on point and then there's the food. I mean come on. Every time I eat there I feel like I've taken a trip to India. Starting with the trio of sauces that come out first with that crispy goodness. Those sauces, OMG those sauces!! I could literally put that green sauce on EVERYTHING!!!! I've tried making it myself---it's not the same---and I'm a great cook myself. Then there's the Samosas. I'm salivating just thinking about them. I could eat those for breakfast!! Next, the rice that comes with the entree. It's infused with that luxurious fragrant blend of spices like cinnamon and star anise and more. Finally, there is the entree I've tried a hand full of different items off the menu which all have been excellent. It's never a disappointment when we go. In fact, we always order extra so we can have some the next day. Indus's food makes the best leftovers even days later!! Most importantly you don't leave there feeling like you've overindulged on fatty chain restaurant foods. Rather, you leave there feeling satisfied and wanting more! And can't wait to the next time!!
We just went back last night 01/26/18- the food was great as usual, however, the ambiance has changed slightly. It looked nice they undated the booths and changed the lighting. My husband and I felt that it was too bright in there. Before the booths were darker and you could just sink into them and you felt cozy and isolated in a sense. Now, it's not the same feeling. Don't worry Indus, we will still be back because we...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I go to this restaurant every weekend. It has become our perfect spot for authentic Indian cuisine, and after visiting many others, we have agreed that this is our favorite. The place is clean, elegant, and beautifully decorated. The booths are comfortable, and the plates and cutlery are very clean. The bathrooms are spotless, and the food.... THE FOOD 😍 the chutneys are delicious and fresh, and we love the variety of the other dishes. There are many vegetarian options such as chickpeas, veggie curry, eggplant dishes, various fritters and chips, naan, and cottage cheese in green sauce. They all go perfect with the rice options. Our favorite though (and the main reason we go there) is the GOAT CURRY. It is perfectly cooked and basically to die for. Everyone has to try this!! Also, the tomato soup (sometimes they have spinach soup) is so soothing and delicious. The fried chicken is tender and perfectly seasoned. The rice pudding and the mango drink are perfect ways to cool your palate after eating spicy dishes. One time, they had fish curry, and I am dying to try it again. We cant get enough of this affordable menu. Also, the owner (I think... or manager) is nice and makes you feel welcome. My boyfriend and I usually eat with our hands as it is typical in Indian dining because the food tastes better. It is an absolute pleasure to visit this restaurant and experience the whole adventure, dirty hands included! Go to this...
