This was truly one of the most fun and relaxing activities I’ve ever done! As a beginner, I was intimidated before going in, but the environment is so peaceful and supportive and the owner + everyone that works there are kind, helpful, and welcoming. I had many questions and they were so patient and happy to guide me. This experience is amazing for beginners and experienced artists alike, you could tell from all of the different levels of people in the studio when we went — beginner and experienced adults, a family, a children’s birthday party, and experienced people creating their own pottery. I love that so many of their options for painting were both functional and fun — I painted a teapot that I’ll be using for years and my friend painted a taco holder shaped like a llama that we can’t wait to use. This was such a unique experience to share with someone and definitely more fun than the usual “dinner and drinks”. It also just felt so much more personal and comfortable than any other art studio I’ve been to. I will definitely be back to paint more pottery and I also really want to try their wheel throwing class! Highly, highly recommend That Pottery Place for a date, group of friends, family, or even an amazing way to unwind and practice self care...
Read moreI’m not artistic at all. I knew about this place for many years having grown up and had family in West Windsor but I just figured it would be too expensive, blah blah blah. Decided to make my girlfriend a tea mug for Valentine’s Day. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THIS EXPERIENCE! I highly recommend this place, super affordable, super fun, mentally relaxing (put down the iPhone and don’t think about looking at it). The week between making it and waiting for the final product was a feeling of anticipation that I hadn’t experienced since a I was kid waiting for Christmas to come. You will not be disappointed with this place! I cannot wait to bring my nephews here for an...
Read moreI really like this place. I like that they're more hands off than other places and let you pick your own paints and as much as you need. To my surprise they also have pottery making and the instructor seemed really patient and have good instruction for different techniques. Also, the owner is sooo sweet and considerate. She made sure my piece was ready to give as a gift before the holidays even though it was pretty close to when I painted my item. Really...
