The Beach Store — Local services in Westerly

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING – DO NOT GO HERE! This place should be SHUT DOWN. I walked into what I thought was a cute little souvenir shop and walked straight into a nightmare. The shelves were dusty, the merchandise looked like it had been sitting there since 1995, and worst of all — BUGS. I’m not talking about a stray ant or two. I’m talking about roaches, silverfish, and these creepy little beetles crawling all over the shelves, near the keychains, and even on the T-shirts.

I picked up a mug to look at it and a bug literally fell out of it. I put it down and walked out gagging.

The staff acted like it was totally normal — no apology, no explanation. Just shrugged it off like it happens all the time (which makes me think it DOES). I wouldn’t take anything from this place even if it was free.

Save yourself the trauma — go literally anywhere else. This was not a shopping experience. This was a...

I have 9 year old hoodies that still look brand new from the first time I visited this store. You don't even have to buy anything... but you will.

It's full of quirky cute treasures, friendly employees and a hands-on owner~although he fell off of a ladder this summer.
