I started coming here about eight months ago because the two places right by my house were getting a bit higher in price but the quality was always great. A friend recommended trying this place not only for regular produce but for those unique items in some of my more ethnic type dishes - I truly appreciate the cheaper costs for my produce BUT it can be hit or miss with freshness- I can only get here once a week and try to not have my produce turn within the first two days of purchase- Although they open early, I donāt come too early because they often are still bringing our or removing ripe / old produce and adding fresh- - I love the wide variety of veggies and fruits-
But for me much worse than the hit or miss of the fruits and vegetables is the rudeness of the staff. Not all of them but the majority that Iāve come into contact with. Itās certainly your right to not be polite, but if somebody else says good morning, how are you and you ignore them or mumble a response, thatās just rude - this morning I said good morning to the cashier and repeated myself because I thought maybe she didnāt hear me but she looked at me and continued to scan my items. At the end I said have a great day and she said absolutely nothing. Handed me my receipt and went on her way to talk to the other cashiers- šš¼šš„ø this had happened multiple times with a handful of the cashiers and again not all of them. Even some of the staff stocking the produce can be curt or irritated when asking questions about availability or where you may find a certain item- I was raised to be polite- so itās offputting to see not just one but multiple persons within a store act so dismissive and unfriendly-
Thankfully, Iām not there for the service but with gas prices what they are, I can shop much closer too home- I may pay a little bit more but Iāve always been guaranteed a good product and friendly customer service-
Update 7/7 for the Fourth of July weekend I purchased a half of a watermelon and a couple bags of cabbage only to have both of them go rotten within a day. We tried slicing up the watermelon only to find within an inch into it it was brown and gross- even though the outside look beautiful and no bruises. The top surface was pink and looked very good but when we cut into it brown stuff oozed out- The bags of cabbage had an expiration date of July 13 but within one day the bags expanded and there was moisture in the bag and the cabbage became brown and mushyš¤
So yes although this market might have lower prices but itās not worth the gamble of wondering if youāre going to get something thatās rotten and spoiled and have to run to another store to get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful market that is clean, organized and well maintained. I'm always amazed at how clean they keep the place. The produce looks really fresh and great prices, half of what you spend at regular big chain stores. Lot of good deals every week and that's the reason why this place is always packed.
Fresh Veggies, Fruits, Eggs, Nuts, Dairy, Frozen foods, Herbs, Breads, Pulses, Plants, Flowers all under one roof. Also they have wide variety of produce that you can't find in the regular stores. Some of the exotic produce are also available here - Jackfruit, Guava, Rambutan, Coconut in hard shell, Tender Coconut, Sugarcane.
Few things to note : Sometimes you may have to pick through some of the produce that have been bruised or bumped. They will go bad quickly so make sure what you pick. Be mindful to use berries within 2-3 days max they do not stay good longer. Red onions are not always fresh, you have to do proper scanning to find undamaged ones.
I was overwhelmed seeing their huge selection of annuals and perennials. This will be my new to-go garden supply store. Their inventories, pricing and qualities are definitely very competitive as other big garden supply stores. Great selection and great prices.
Fast billing counters as they have several lanes open. The staff were helpful and approachable. Ample parking Space but nearly fills up during weekends. I would highly recommend and I'll be back for more! Overall, this is a great place to shop and great value as well. I would definitely refer anyone here, so worth the trip and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am not a big fruit or vegetable person, but usually we find better quality fruits and vegetables at this place than a big chain supermarket. Usually the prices are better. So on that side of the business, excellent! Now on for landscaping side, sometimes they actually have very good deals for the plants/trees/bushes. It is best to know the prices of the landscaping items. Why I only gave this a 4 out 5 starts is for the landscaping side, the customer service is at BEST OK. Forget about asking about a plant or tree! The best I ever gotten from a person was they pointed me in the direction of the product. When I asked what do they know about the plant, they gave me such general answer such as it is green. What? The other times, even asking people "can you point me in the right direction", they looked like I was putting them out and they had a frustration look on the face. To me, this frustrates me. I have purchased a few plants, bushes, etc. from them and the quality is usually good (I had one bush that did not work out). That to me is not a show stopper because sometimes it just does not work out for a plant.
So if you are looking for fruit/vegetables, this is a great place to go. If you are looking for landscaping, do your homework before arriving. Know what you are looking for, know the price range for a certain size and expect that you will be walking around to find the landscape.
Overall it is a very good...
