I planned a 90th birthday party for our father. In the beginning stages, before finding The Home Chef, I reached out to several caterers. Not one of them responded to my inquiry. As a small business owner, that is despicable!! I appreciate anyone that inquiries with me and I ALWAYS respond regardless of my availability.
I was so frustrated that I decided I was going to go with Whole Foods catering. As I got closer to the date and previewed their summer menu, while it was more than fine, I still wanted a more unique experience. I did another GOOGLE search and came across The Home Chef. I liked their reviews so I reached out completely not expecting them to be able to accommodate me as I knew it was high season with other events.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response the next day. They did have another event scheduled for the same date as mine, but were so gracious in working it out with me to fit my party in. I loved the menu offerings and felt such relief that I was going to have a wonderful array of offerings for my quests.
I only needed a drop off situation which worked out perfectly. The entire process was seamless and the communication was always responsive. My guests absolutely raved about all of the food. The portions were definitely generous and well prepared with easy re-heating instructions.
I really had a great experience with them to make our father's 90th special. Thank you so much for all your help with...
Read morel'll be honest. I'm not the type to use meal services. I've always liked the idea, but every time I've tried one, the food was either too processed, too bland, or just felt like a frozen dinner with fancy packaging. Then I found The HomeCook CT, and now I get it. This is what a meal service should be. It actually feels like someone cooked a homemade meal and just handed it to me, no weird preservatives, no tiny portions, just real, fresh food. The best part? I just check the menu, pick what sounds good, and it shows up ready to go. And the variety? Insane. The rotating menu keeps things fresh, so I never get bored. Plus, the portions are solid. I actually feel full after eating, which is rare for meal services. I never thought I'd be someone who relies on a meal service, but at this point, I don't know how I...
Read moreI recently moved to Darien from Missouri with my two little ones and a brand-new hospital schedule. Between unpacking, adjusting, and long shifts at work, I was stretched thin, and honestly, just exhausted. A friend told me about The Home Cook, and from the very first meal, I felt like someone was truly looking out for us. The food is full of flavor, and thoughtfully made. It feels like something you’d get from a close friend who knows exactly what you need after a long day. It’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders and made our evenings feel a little more peaceful. I’m just really,...
