4 Brothers Mexican food — Restaurant in Westport

I had a rather disappointing experience today. I have ordered from here many times (today being my last). I went during my lunch break to have lunch and ordered some birria tacos. At first super tasty but then (FOR MY TASTE BUDS) super spicy. I attempted to eat them but could only get through 1/2 of one out of the 3 on my plate (same thing for my friend that was with me). I approached the counter to ask the worker if it was the caldo (sauce) that I was dipping my taco into that was spicy in an attempt to not eat what was causing my mouth to feel like it was on fire because I wanted to finish my plate, when he so arrogantly replied “you’re the first customer ever to complaint about it being spicy) I completely failed to understand what that comment had to do with the fact that “I” couldn’t Handle how spicy it felt to me. He continued to try to school me on how he has Latino workers in the back that also don’t think they are spicy. I was baffled on how any of this was relevant. I felt completely dismissed and my concernes completely ignored. Nothing was done to rectify the situation, no substitution offered or apology extended. I proceeded to pay over $60 for the tacos, 2 drinks and guacamole because I am not a terrible person. The owners should absolutely reevaluate the way their employees handle their customers. I have been coming to this place for a few years now, and I have always loved it. And now under the new owner Richard, it has become even better! I enjoy everything this place has to offer! And they have a little seating area for anyone looking to sit down and eat there. Going back to the menu, everything my family, friends and I have tried has been five stars. I usually have the paninis, pizza, customized salad, or my all time favorite the Arepa with Shrimp. They actually make the arepas themselves which are incredibly delicious. And the shrimp/camarones are wow!! The sauce is very good. Wishing Richard and his wife a lot of success, they have great food, customer service and awesome prices! Wow! This was a pleasant surprise. Oftentimes places that have totally different themes make both things lousy - this spot is the exception. First of all the owner is super enthusiastic and ask such great vibes. Second of all the food is pretty good. The shrimp burrito was absolute perfection. The birria taco had a moistness to it but I’m still thinking about it. And my wife was pleasantly surprised with the salad.
