I really hate to give this place a 2 star review, but I was not impressed by what we ate here for the cost. We ordered 2 lomo dishes. Was super pumped to have found this place because it was near to us. I will say it was very easy to order online and it was ready when we pulled up. Now for the food, the portion size was okay, but not great for $18 a plate. They also offer different cuts of meat that would cost more. We opted for the top sirloin. It was nicely cooked and tender, but had no flavor to it. I think the reasoning for this could be because of their packaging. I have added photos of what I'm talking about. They use a very thin paper-like container that absorbs all the juices that the lomo naturally has. The container also starts to fall apart as you are eating. This is a big issue because this is a take out place. The plantains are five out of five. That was the best part of the dish. The rice was on the dryer side which didn't help the plate. The onions are a great touch, but there are too many of them. I'm not an expert in this dish just giving my opinion. Tomatoes are also cut on the bigger side. Overall wouldn't pick this as our go to spot. The major turn off for us was their sauces. For some reason they tasted like straight pickles which is not a thing that they were used to when it comes to Aji. Had that not been the case it might have given it a better flavor. Again I hate to give it a 2 star because I want this place to be a 5 star, but it's just not. I'm sure their other plates might taste better, but if you can't get the sauce and the lomo right it does not give me much hope for the rest...
Read moreAs I’ve stated before, I am Peruvian and I’ve been there multiple times so my bar for Peruvian is a bit higher or I tend to critique a little more.
Man…. Idk if I’m exaggerating but that might have been the best lomo I have ever had. Perfectly cooked steak, flavors were popping. The presentation was great. The yellow and green aji’s taste exactly like the sauces I’ve had in actual peru. The extra lomo jugito on the side is an unnecessary but amazing touch. The plantains, perfectly soft and sweet.
Man I can not say enough. The portion was amazing too. The photos on these reviews don’t do it justice. It’s a big plate. I will definitely be adding this to my rotation. I’m going to try and order different things but after having this lomo, idk how I’m gonna resist. Such an amazing meal. 10/10.
Second visit: …got the lomo… still a hit 😮💨😮💨😮💨
I got the pollo à la brasa and some desserts and chicha morada. Only thing I can critique is I wish I got the same fries from the lomo with the pollo but it was still good. And after a couple visits now, I can’t get enough of the sauce… that alone is amazing. The alfajores I wish had a tiny bit more of the filling but they were still soft and delicious. The flan is always a must and it didn’t...
Read moreI hate to leave bad reviews, but I just have to. Let’s start by saying that it was my first time ordering from this place. My boyfriend had been obsessed with trying it since he drove by it, so we gave it a try. He learned that just because it looks like a good restaurant doesn't mean it is.
The good: According to my boyfriend, the employees were nice, so that is a good thing. I appreciate good customer service. Ordering online was easy.
The bad: The Food was not tasty at all. Tasted like the cardboard it came in! That was all the flavor. I am not even exaggerating. The rice didn’t have salt at all. Then I decided to put the green sauce, hoping it would at least mask the cardboard taste, and oh boy, big mistake. I have eaten lomo from different restaurants and had never burned my mouth as badly as I did with this green sauce. I love the green sauce that usually comes with the lomo, and I even ordered extra, thinking it would be a good one. What a disappointment. Lost my appetite. My boyfriend’s lomo had big chunks of fat. He hates it when his food is fat, so there you go. It ruined it for him, too. So it was our first and last time ordering from this place. The price was okay for us until we...
