So first of all, if there was a zero or a negative star to rate this place, it would be lower than the 1 star. Now that that is out of the way, this is my experience with this horrible business, and even worse owner! I have a 2010 Ford F-150 5.4 V8 Triton. My truck had an exhaust leak, it was horrible, I bought good quality manifolds, gaskets, and the bolts all in a package deal. I took my truck to Ellis Stapleton(owner) of Master Tech Tire and Auto in White Pine, TN. this was a little over a year ago or so around June of 2022, when I first took it in to have the manifolds replaced, first of all the labor time for this job is approximately 6.8 hours for each side, and that's if the bolts don't break off, and additional time is needed to drill out holes, so even if you rounded this up to 8 hours per side, that's roughly 16 hours for both. This shop had my truck approximately 8-10 days. I'm not a math major, but something is off there to begin with. Now to be fair the incompetence of his mechanic at that time actually drilled into a water jacket, overall the job was completed, and the leak was fixed, however at the time of pickup I was told by Ellis the owner about the issue with the water jacket, said it was fixed, but there is a chance it may start leaking again, if so, bring it back and I'll take care of it. So it was probably about 6 months post repair, the leak came back. I contacted Ellis and told him about it, and he says "just bring it back and we'll handle it", I let him know at that time I had tried taking it back up there a few times and the place was locked down tighter than a drum. He asks me when?, because I spoke with my tech, and he said no one has come by. For the sake of not causing a conflict, I just said I would try to take it up there and drop it off. Unfortunately around that time was diagnosed with an illness, and was not able to get it to him. For almost 6-8 months the problem goes unfixed, meanwhile the leak is getting worse, fast forward to February of this year, I wound up having to move to NC for my daughters to help with my recovery from my illness. It has been a while since it was fixed, and yes there has been many miles put on it since it was fixed due to the back and forth hospital visits that had to be done. So just about a month ago, I reached back out to Ellis, and we had made arrangements to get it back to him so he could look at again, but became ill again, and after getting over the illness this time on Tuesday, May the 26th of this month, at 8 a.m., I take my truck to him finally to see about getting it fixed. We spoke that morning, and he asked me when I could bring it and drop it off for him to look t it, I said it's here now, he says I see that but I have 17 appointments ahead of you before I can look at it, and he couldn't possibly get to it until after 5 pm or so, after a few more exchanged words, and not being happy about it, I agreed to take it back around 6 pm drop it off, then wait for him to call me with what he finds out. Dropped it off on Tuesday at 6, he told me he would take a look and let me know something the following day, well, Wed came and left, no response, Thursday came, I waited until around 3:30 or so, and still haven't heard from him, so I call, he answers, I say hey it's Kerry calling about my truck, he responded oh yeah I was just getting ready to call you, he continues to tell me he put it up on the rack, and says it is a gasket failure, nothing we did. Me being upset, reply with so what now? He says well the gasket will have to be replaced, and I said so this is gonna cost me another $500 or so to have redone? To...
Read moreDo not take your vehicle to this garage. Didn’t even deserve a 1 rating. Have a 2011 Cadillac SRX. The only thing wrong was wiring to the starter, because of a small collision that left no visible damage. had it towed to this garage on March 22nd. The garage called on April 1st and said the vehicle was ready, but running rough? Paid the garage 684.74, Drove the vehicle 1/2 mile and it died and would not start. They come and picked it up, took it back to the garage. Had it another 4 weeks, not responding to texts sent to get update on the vehicle. Finally they said they can’t fix the car, so no charge. We asked if they could bring it 1.2 miles to our property, (free towing within a 20 mile radius), they said the rollback was not running, called back a few weeks later after no response from garage to our texts sent asking. Finally spoke with the owner I assume and conversation got heated. He said he was going to put a mechanics lien on the vehicle, for what, oh now there is a bill for storage and an alternator, but would not give us a bill. On June 1st, Had to call the police to go to the garage and ask for a bill. I got a text immediately with a bill of 1480.33. Vehicle not running, had to have it towed home, wiring harness ripped out and now he says the motor is locked up. So after paying this garage a total of 2224.28 I get my car towed home in a condition that is ridiculous and it will most likely never run again. After having no issues with this vehicle prior to this garage, other than a key fob...
Read moreIf I could give a less rating than 1 star, I would. We took it there to have our brake pads and rotors replaced because they were grinding. The original time we had it done, they were good for like a day or so then continued grinding. So I called and told him we’re still having a problem with them, he told us to bring it back he would fix it no charge on us. So I brought it back, they “fixed” the problem. So we pick it up. Good for about a day or so, STILL grinding. So I message and ask if we can have our money back and report the problem is still going on… tells me, we’re not getting out money back, and he gets a nasty attitude and says “I told you both times you left, you may need a brake caliper” ok that’s fine. I don’t recall him saying that though! 🫠 but, we would have paid for it. So, let me ask this… you mentioned we MAY need one, why didn’t you check if we needed one the second time around we brought it to you? We paid $200 for brake pads, rotors, and apparently brake labor (cheap, right?) should have been my first red flag… If you want the job done right THE FIRST TIME, and someone to not have a terrible nasty attitude… I will recommend you go somewhere else. Also, go read his replies on other reviews below this. You’ll see how rude he is. Don’t take...
