Toro Mexican Grill - White Pine — Restaurant in White Pine

My 2 brothers and I were in town for some fishing and we went for dinner on Saturday 8/10/19. The A/C was off or broken so it was a bit warm inside. I ordered a beer and I was surprised when it arrived in an unchilled mug and the beer was warm as well. I didn't think much of it until a family walked in who were clearly regulars and when they recieved there beers they were in frosty cold mugs.

I also noticed a chip on the rim of the mug that was very sharp. At this point our goal was to get thru dinner and I would have a chat with the gentlemen who seated us and brought out my beer.

After what was a pretty decent dinner I mentioned the chip on my mug to the gentlemen and it quickly became apparent that he didn't speak much English. I decided trying to have a conversation with him about how he decides who gets chilled mugs and cold beer was pointless so we paid our bill and left.

We enjoyed our stay in Baneberry and we will be back, its unfortunate we won't be having Mexican...

Ya know you sort of expect shrimp fajitas to be decent... it's hard to mess them up… fresh veggies, some protein… fire it up! But these were the worst we've ever had. We did takeout and everything was hot and it was ready quickly (I actually went to the restaurant to order b/c you can't order shrimp fajitas online). The shrimp were mushy. The veggies had a lot of tomatoes (not my jam but I'm not complaining that they were there) that very overcooked and morphed into tomato mush/sauce. In fact all the veggies were overcooked... it's almost like they just have a big vat of pre-cooked veggies that they throw in at the last minute with the protein. I ended up eating the tortillas with the rice and beans (which were decent) and thew...

I usually do not review places but today is a lil diff. If I could give 0 stars I would granted I am just upset about it. This place ok general is ok staff wise. Never been treated bad in anyway. However today they served my little one raw chicken, he had se nuggets and the outside looked done. He did not eat very much at all so there is some relieve there. I checked all th nuggets and none of them were cooked through. I do not mean almost cooked either these were straight up still pinkish and cold ok the center .
