Fly Fisherman in Fairmont are very fortunate to have Natives Fly Fishing & Outfitter.

I have stopped in the shop a few times prior to committing to fly fishing. The Catch Cam Net was my first purchase; first impression was a quality product. It was obviously manufactured to provide a product that can take the variable conditions of the outdoors and visually pleasing as well. I went with the Rainbow Trout Design. The action camera attachment is also a great feature for those who like to document that day's catch; my GoPro fits as designed with the Catch Cam base and produces a quality visual in film.

Next, we dive into the Beginner Fly Fishing Trout session that took place in the Catch & Release section of Seneca, WV. This trip was lead by Jimmy who immediately got the day in motion with the basics. Once we hit the stream, the motions and lessons came to fruition as we stirred up a handful of trout. Jimmy was informative, patient, and very persistent with trying to get us onto some fish. Gear and other provisions were provided for a day full of fishing, lunch was also included. Overall, it was a successful day in regard to lessons learned and a new hobby gained.

I am excited to say that I have made my first purchase into the fly fishing world with a beginner Cortland setup that Natives had in stock. Starting off with fly setup out of the box seemed to be the most feasible option for me at this time. Beau was great with navigating me into this purchase, providing great tips/ideas on how to get started and fly's that are appealing to trout this time of year.

Tha absolutely best guided fishing trips of my 81 year life booked through Natives flies shop. After several discussions with a couple different people I was lucky enough to get open dates before the tourist season. Our guide Nat Fredrick turned out to be a fantastic, a patient soft spoke man from the area we fished. I had requested fishing only for native fish and we filled that quite easily.
