My sister purchased a sectional couch with manual end recliners and a manual reclining chair in October of 2024. She received furniture in November 2024 which were both electric which is not what she ordered, she wanted the manual reclining. She contacted Rick to let him know she wanted to return a small optional section of the couch because it would not fit. (She measured for the couch and provided the measurements to them and they assured her it would fit. They didnāt account for the curvature of the couch corners and not 90 degree corners. So hence the return of an option piece to make it fit.) Rick promised her they would pick the returned piece up from her house, never happened. He then told her they would meet her in Clarksburg to get it, never happened. She had to drive it all the way back to the Fairmont store which is an hour and a half away from her house. When she initially contacted Rick for the return piece she also told him the pieces came in electric and she wanted manual. He literally told her it was a lie because those pieces could not be ordered in electric, but I assure you I have been to her house and they are in fact electric. Anyways, when she returned the piece to the Fairmont store, Rick told her that the woman who processes returns was off and he would have them process it in a few days. A few days had passedā¦.. a few weeks had passed⦠NOTHING. Almost a month later she contacted Rick again to see why the return had not been processed, he told her the woman no longer works there that processes returns so my sister needed to take it up with the credit card company. My sister disputed it through the credit card and now seven months later they removed the balance on her card and then recharged the balance minus the piece she returned. WHY COULDNāT THEY DO THAT TO BEGIN WITH. Overall, Rick should be fired because he obviously canāt process things correctly, offer any type of exceptional customer service or help when an issue arises. Do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn mid-October 2024 I took my elderly father to Star Furniture in Whitehall (owned by Providence Enterprises) to purchase a bedroom suite. This order was paid in full at that time. At the end of December part of the order was delivered. It took an additional 3 months - total 5 months - to get the bed. Despite telephone calls to Rick and Jennifer over this expended period of time we got no answers - basically every call was answered with ājust a few more weeksā. Then both Rick and Jennifer stopped returning calls.
I filed a BBB complaint on behalf of my father because despite taking full payment the representatives of the company would not respond.
The bed was finally delivered mid-March - again 5 months after the order was placed and paid for. The companyās position is because my father was polite and tipped the delivery drivers that there was no issue at all with their horrible customer service. The company literally said my father was āhappyā based on his interaction with the delivery drivers. My father knew the issues were not with the delivery drivers and was certainly not going to hold them responsible for the disingenuous, reprehensible behavior of this company and...

They always hire people to do the work, and they have totally lost sight of where they came from, these people don't care if you buy from them or not. But if there employee doesn't sell sell sell, that employee is told to walk!!! These people don't even have real decorators working on site, and those that they do have , don't do much, they have not one professional to go to market to help them buy furniture that people want. And they have the rights to the Ashley franchise of furniture, the same Ashley Furniture you can go and buy at big lots and places such as that, that don't last for crap!!! The only major reason they do so so is the lazy boy brand. But you can also buy that from better people across town at Grandma's house. So think long and hard, before you drop a nickel here for even a lamp or table cloth!!! You...
