La Vie Boheme Apothecary & Curiosity Shoppe is not just a store—it’s a sanctuary, a sacred space, a spiritual home, and a beacon of love, healing, and awakening in this world. I truly don’t have the words to express the depth of gratitude and reverence I feel for this place, for Joanna, her husband, their beloved pup Minion (may she rest in the Otherworld), and every single soul who has worked or passed through these doors. But I’ll try. This was the first metaphysical shop I ever walked into. I still remember the energy—warm, welcoming, magical, deeply grounded, and deeply real. That first visit changed everything. Nearly all of my foundational witchcraft and druidic tools came from here. My first tarot deck, Wildwood Tarot—now a soul companion. My first ritual candles, incense, altar pieces, crystals, journals. It’s safe to say that the vast majority of my magical and spiritual path was sparked, nurtured, and empowered by what I found here. But it’s not just the things. It’s the people. Every single interaction I’ve had at La Vie Boheme has been full of kindness, wisdom, and soul-level connection. Joanna herself is a treasure—genuine, intuitive, knowledgeable, and deeply devoted to the work she does. Her presence is both powerful and soothing, like a high priestess in a sacred grove. Her husband and the rest of the team (Saùl for example) bring the same level of heart, care, and insight. I’ve learned more through conversations in this shop than I could have ever imagined. It’s more than learning, though—it’s healing and protection. I found this shop during one of the hardest times of my life. I was grieving, lost, and desperately in need of light. Minion, their dog, played an unexpected but profound role in helping me process the traumatic loss of my own dog, Delilah, who was and is everything to me. Minion offered comfort, presence, and the kind of spiritual support that only an animal soul can, she was beyond light in dog form. I believe with everything in me that if I hadn’t found this shop—this community—I wouldn’t be where I am today. I may not even still be alive. And yet, here I am. Awake. Growing. Trusting my gifts. Honoring my gods and goddesses. Walking a path of sacred purpose. All of that is tied to La Vie Boheme. They didn’t just sell me candles and cards—they helped me reclaim my magic, my voice, my spirit. To say I’m grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. This shop is family. This shop is a soul home. Whether you’re brand new to the path or decades deep in your practice, you will find something here—something you didn’t know you needed but were always meant to have. You’ll be seen. You’ll be supported. You’ll be reminded that magic is real, and that you are part of it. With all the love in my heart—thank you, Joanna, David and staff (shout out to Saùl.) Thank you for everything.

If you are a witch in Wichita, this is everywhere you want to be. They have a lovely apothecary. The variety of herbs they have is HUGE! Their prices on things are good. They have essential oils. They have a selection of teas. They carry several types of crystals. They have ritual candles. They have pendulums. There are cauldrons. They have crystal balls. There are some novelty items like socks and wind chimes. They have palmistry hands. They carry smudge sticks and Palo Santo. They have a plethora of items. Their staff is unbelievably helpful and nice. They also have classes that are available. They have "Witchy Wednesdays". Witches can meet and talk craft. If you have never been there, highly recommend visiting. It is worth the trip.

This shop is AMAZING! So many cool items, it’s hard to leave without a full bag of goodies. They have everything from incense and clothing to tarot cards and healing stones, to natural remedies and teas from their apothecary! All of their stuff is high quality and reasonably priced. The employees are all super kind and helpful and make the trip an easy one if you’re looking for anything specific as well! 10/10, love this place. A must-visit shop in Wichita! ❤️

As a regular shopper at this store, I wanted to share my recent experience in hopes of fostering improvement. While I appreciate the quality of the products, I found the customer service lacking during my visit. I spent a few minutes examining a product and was hoping for assistance, but unfortunately, the staff member on duty did not acknowledge me.

When I finally tried to get help, I noticed the employee was aware of my presence but responded to my inquiry in a rather brief and cold manner. As I continued to browse, I felt as though I was being watched, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. I attempted to engage in small talk about the shop to lighten the mood, but unfortunately, I received the same distant response.

I believe that providing a welcoming atmosphere and proactive assistance would greatly enhance the shopping experience. I genuinely enjoy supporting local businesses and often go out of my way to do so. However, this recent encounter has left me reconsidering my decision to return. I hope that by sharing this feedback, it can contribute to positive changes in customer service here. Thank you for your attention to...
