I started coming here in the 1990s when I worked across the street. Then my husband and I recently began frequenting the deli on Sundays after our yoga class and enjoy a nice lunch. We've always felt welcome and had excellent service until today when the waitress was really rushing us - we arrived shortly after 1:30 and they close at 3 on Sundays. We were seated outside in a nice shady spot and they weren't as busy as usual. When I still had my wrap in my hand she asked to take my plate. Around 2:25 another staff member began collecting the napkin boxes from the outdoor tables and said they close at 3. Then five minutes later at 2:30 our waitress came out to announce they were now closed, very impolite as she interrupted our conversation. We couldn't believe we were treated so rudely when we love eating there and again, have always been treated so nicely in the past. Really hurt our feelings! Gosh, it's going to be a while before we'll be back. Please honor your hours of operation and remember that your regulars are who keep you in...
Read moreThis is a strange experience, because the quality and presentation of my meal was great. The staff were so nice and my order was ready exactly when I said I'd be there. Still hot and fresh. However it was not Mediterranean or Lebanese in any way. My Shawarma was seasoned with what seemed like some southwest or perhaps Mexican inspired blend. There was no Tahini, and it was in a tortilla. My fattouch salad looked beautiful, crisp lettuce blend, fresh tomatoes and nice cubed pickled cucumber. The dressing tastes like Wishbone Italian. I'm disappointed because last time I ordered a shawarma from them it was delicious. I feel like I just ate at a Mexican bistro. That said I would still eat here again. I know what to expect next time. This is a great locally owned restaurant and I want to see it...
Read moreI ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with sweet potato fries because another reviewer recommended it. My husband got a beef pita with dill sauce and fattoush salad and said his was good. I thought sauce on wrap was too bland; nothing like Fadi's garlic spread on their shawarma sandwich (they are in Dallas, Texas). I would suggest Bella Luna here in Wichita, but it seems like they flatten their sandwich like a panini sandwich and make it crisper -- not sure if that is better -- but they have a yummier sauce -- or Mediteranean Grill at Town East Square area has the same thing but you might need to ask for it if it is not on the menu. My fries on carry out were soggy and boring. We carried out, so can't comment on the service. Price for two sandwiches and no...
