We have had an absolutely horrific experience trying to work with the upper management of this company to try and work out a past due bill! We were given two weeks notice to try and make some kind of payment happen, when we are on a voucher to help us pay so we obviously couldn’t just pull money out of nowhere to begin with! No one was willing to work with us; we were stomped on, talked down to, disrespected, and downright written off with no chance of reconciliation! Not that at this point I would ever want to, I can barely see how they stay in business running it this way! I received a call the week before Christmas giving me 2 days notice they were releasing my 4 year old from care, and when I called to see if there was anything we could figure out all I got was this stone cold woman telling me “there’s nothing to be done, the decision has been made!” our daughter LOVED it at her center The wants and well being of our daughter meant nothing to them, it was all about their money! I’m sickened and downright disgusted that people like this work with young children! Also the fact that when I requested to speak to the owner of the company I was first toldNO by the woman on the phone, when I then said I didn’t ask her permission I was telling her I wanted him to call me, and have yet to actually speak to him! My husband and I have been told “he’s on vacation” twice in the past two months, is he really or does he just have no desire to actually address any problem within his company! Can he not face the people that...
Read moreCompletely appalled by the lack of professionalism, and disorganization of the Kids Place in Wilbraham! They provide false information, give false hope to parents and are just rude! My step daughter was trying to sign her son up for preschool and was informed she could not get financial assistance because of her husbands overtime at work, which was needed to get by financially. We were then informed if she came back in with more recent pay stubs showing no overtime my grandson would be able to start the following week because he would then be eligible. I specifically asked if an appointment needed to be made to be made to bring in the new paperwork and was informed that was not necessary. We arrived with the new paperwork to prove eligibility and were treated as if they didn’t know we were coming and had no idea of the conversation had previously. The staff Heather who confirmed everything on the phone previously was extremely rude and unprofessional. She initially told us he wouldn’t be able to start the following week because she already filled the spots, but that she would look to see what was available. Then a couple of hours later informed them he was still not eligible. Completely dumbfounded by the ignorance, incompetence and lack of communication between the staff. After speaking to friends, colleagues, and the licensing agency, I’m not surprised to hear that others have removed their children from this center and decided to use licensed family childcare instead. If I could give less than 1...
Read moreWhen I was hired as a Center Director, Ruth Guzman (Regional Director) informed me that I needed to take a mandatory 12 hour EEC training. I asked Ruth Guzman if I would be paid for this 12 hour, mandatory training. Ruth Guzman stated "Yes, you will get paid for the training as well as orientation." The owner of 'The Kid's Place, Inc, Scott Peterson did not, and refused to pay me for the 12 hour, mandatory training. After I informed 'The Kid's Place, Inc' that I would be reporting the company to the Labor Board for 'Wage Theft', The Kid's Place, Inc.' terminated me. I would include the emails, but 'The Kid's Place, Inc' had my original review deleted for including the emails as "personal...
