Booked our wedding cake and cupcakes with her and months after booking I texted the final flavors we were choosing (like she asked us too). She replied back “oh I’ve been scared to tell you, but my bf booked me a vacation the week of your wedding so I’m not doing it anymore”. Not only did she cancel as a vendor, but she knew for who knows how long and didn’t tell us. It’s the not telling us the day she knew she wasn’t available that is the issue with us. Not how you run a business. Don’t recommend you booking a special occasion with her cause she might not bake your cake and doesn’t have the guts to tell you. I will say we didn’t have a contract, so that is half on us for me not enforcing we sign a contract. But I didn’t ever get married and wasn’t sure bakers did contracts cause I did ask about a contract and deposit. The baker we actually got I made do 2 copies of a contract. So yes she didn’t break contract, but still rude as can be and a stress this bride didn’t need.

Edit- since I can’t respond to your response. I figured I’d edit and add it here. When you tell us “all set can’t wait to work with you” and we say “can we leave a deposit” and you say you “don’t do deposits but wrote it in your calendar for pickup of Friday and text me in 2 months for your finalized flavors” that’s not “tentatively agreeing”. If you said “it’s too early I don’t book 8 months out” we would’ve understood, but you didn’t. And also, texting me mad you got a bad review when you did exactly what I said you did- also super unprofessional. All engaged couples, just avoid this bakery as an option all together. We had 3 other meetings and tastings Jan-Feb and there’s much more professional bakeries out there who happily...

I had ordered 3 cakes for my daughters graduation party from vet school. When I received the cake it was a 2 tier cake that was nothing we had discussed. Extremely disappointed to pay $275 for a cake that wasnt even what we had wanted. And on top of that the cake tasted like a box cake. I do not recommend these guys.

In response to your response. I did not delete your response. And I did not contact 3 other bakers. I had contacted one bKer who never got back to me. And you had asked to meet to discuss what I had wanted however my schedule did not have any time for it. You were the one who had suggested that I email you what I wanted to ensure i got what i was looking for. Your bad communication skills should not be your customers issue. I only told you how many people which was 30 not 20 because you kept asking. At that point if you were going to take it upon yourself to totally change what was ordered you should have called first. Have known this person since they started their business. Sent a text showing a cake on April 2nd for a cake for April 24th. Never heard anything saw they were closed so called on Tuesday the 5th and asked if received the text with picture. She was too busy to come to the phone so I Said ok I will stop in about 4:45 to talk to Jolene the owner. I get there and her worker/ daughter says she never got text.showed it to her on my phone. She yells from the back so I say ok.i will wait. Daughter takes my phone to show get she comes back and says she's too busy for that day.
