Very disappointed. I got a gift certificate to this place as a christmas present and the person who gave it to me talked so highly of this place we were super excited to go here. When we walked in it seemed really cute and quaint and was apparently a meeting place for some locals. it seemed like everyone there knew each other almost as if they were family but not in a good way. The people already sitting and eating were chatting and having obnoxiously loud conversations. The gentleman that was already sitting got up to pay for the guy ahead of us which was fine but he was confusing the cashier by saying she owed him change or something and then ended up cutting in front of us and ordering another drink for himself after paying for the other guys drink. It was so uncomfortable as an outside just trying to get some breakfast. Not to mention i ordered a banana fudge iced coffee that tasted like water with a hint of banana. it was disgusting and i had to throw it away. i then ordered a danish which looked good and probably would have been good if they offered to toast it for me. i didnāt even know it was an option until i overheard her offer it to the girl in line behind us (who was another townie customer that they knew) so i guess if you donāt know the people here you donāt get the same service. my girlfriend ordered a breakfast sandwich that was also bland and tasteless and looked like something i could make in a microwave. as someone who works in a family owned small business, there is a way to conduct yourself and make customers feel welcomed and prepare food that you can be proud of but this seemed like we walked into someoneās kitchen uninvited. during a pandemic it is hard for me to see how this place is still up and running since it seemed like more of a family hangout spot then an actual business. Will not be returning even though i still have $10 left on my gift...

I have to celebrate a remarkable moment of humanity I witnessed. Just as we were about to pay, a local woman dropped a $50 on the counter, said "let's pay it forward," and then walked out. On the way out, the barista said, "have a beautiful day!" To which the woman replied, "it already it."
When we went to pay, she told us that it was taken care of. The woman dropped the $50 as a random act of kindness. We were blown away, completely in awe, and so grateful. We tried to track the woman down, but she was already in her car. She didn't want praise, recognition, or attention - she just wanted to share a random act of kindness. Thank you! It was such a refreshing, human, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you know the area, you know coffee places are everywhere. However, this place stands out! I have been going here off and on for a year now and everytime the owner is always there to great you with hellos and welcomes automatically putting you in a positive mood no matter how bad your morning may be. I personally keep coming back because of the never ending coffee flavors. No, they are not squirts! If you like that crap then you know where to get your crappy coffee. If you haven't stepped outside the coffee chain cycle then this should be your place to try atleast once. If you prefer real taste, low price, a smile on everyones face and a true morning kick start then I highly recommend Common Grounds. You won't be...
